19 Feb 2025 Deputy Groves requested the Marietta Municipal Court issue a summons to Jhon F G Sobrados, 120 Summers Road, Marietta, OH, for failure to restrain a dog and failure to register the dog. On 13 Feb 2025 Deputy Groves received a direct call from an individual in the neighborhood of Summers Road, Warren Township, concerning continuing issues with a white dog running loose. Deputy Groves met with the caller who advised the dog belonged at 120 Summers Road. Photographs and video were provided of the dog off of the owner’s property. An attemp to contact Sobrados met with negative results. Later that same date another video was provided to Deputy Groves, once again showing the dog on another's property. Deputy Groves met with Sobrados who arrived on scene and secured the dog. As of 19 Feb 2025, Sobrados, nor anybody at 120 Summers Road has registered the dog through the Washington County Auditor’s Office.
19 Feb 2025 Deputy Welch began an investigation into identity fraud in Waterford Township. This investigation is continuing.
19 Feb 2025 Sgt. Stillson was on patrol on Putnam Street, Pioneer Township, when a vehicle was observed disregarding the traffic control device showing a red light at the intersection of Putnam Street and Fourth Street. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver identified as Tiffany Johnston stated she was distracted during verbal communication inside the vehicle. A citation was issued to Johnston, 282 Ridgewood Drive, Marietta, OH, for disobeying a traffic control device.
20 Feb 2025 Deputy Welch was dispatched to Millgate Road, Muskingum Township, to a report that David Sagle was in the residence after being evicted. The residence was being checked on by the caller who stated the front window of the house was open. The caller also heard music coming from inside. The caller knocked on the door and waited downstairs. A male and female walked down the stairs and when asked why they were there, the male advised he was just there to get his tools. Both subjects then ran down the stairs, but it was unsure where they went after that. The caller stated he had turned the furnace down previously, and when he went upstairs the furnace was set at 84 degrees. The caller confirmed the subject was in fact David Slagle. A warrant was requested through Marietta Municipal Court and issued for David Lee Slagle Jr., age 43, on a charge of breaking and entering and theft. Slagle was arrested on 21 Feb 2025 on the warrant.

David Lee Slagle, age 43, Marietta, OH, breaking and entering, a felony, and theft, a misdemeanor.
Lisa Mae Slagle, age 36, Marietta, OH, complicity to breaking and entering, a felony, and criminal damaging, a misdemeanor.
Kevin William Ritchie, age 19, Marietta, OH, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a felony, OVI alcohol, drug of abuse or both, and driving in marked lanes, both misdemeanors.
Russell Allen McCabe, age 57, Marietta, OH, aggravated trafficking in drugs, aggravated possession of drugs, 2 counts trafficking in cocaine and 2 counts possession of cocaine, 2 counts possession of fentanyl related compound, and receiving stolen property, all felonies
Dustin Lee Brooks, age 38, Terre Haute, IN, 3 counts probation violation, drug paraphernalia and obstructing official business, all misdemeanors.
Joshua Ryan Muntz, age 36, Newport, OH, theft, breach of recognizance, both misdemeanors, and parole violation, a felony.
Matthew Wayne Rosier, age 35, Marietta, OH, theft, a misdemeanor.
There are currently 27 women and 109 men incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
