Moss Run-Newport-New Matamoras-Reno

On March 17th, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office took an important step toward strengthening community partnerships with the launch of the Reno Community Watch Program. Sheriff Mark Warden addressed more than 75 residents, highlighting public safety concerns and the role citizens can play in helping keep their neighborhoods safe.

During the meeting, Sheriff Warden provided an overview of criminal activity in the Reno area and discussed programs offered by the Sheriff’s Office to support community safety and improve communication with residents.

A key part of the evening was the introduction of the Reno Community Watch Program. Sheriff Warden explained how the group is organized, how residents can be involved, and how the program will help connect the community with the Sheriff’s Office in a proactive way.

Sheriff Warden expressed his appreciation for the turnout and involvement, stating, “Pleased to see all who come out to this event and appreciate the feedback and willingness to start this inaugural community watch.”

The launch of the Reno Community Watch Program is a positive step toward building stronger relationships and enhancing public safety in the Reno community.
