Reserve Unit
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office Reserve Unit
Members of the Reserve Unit are uniformed volunteers (non-paid) trained to perform a variety of operational assignments for the Sheriff's Office. The selection of candidates is based on a comprehensive assessment of each applicant’s qualifications and availability. Each candidate also will undergo a background investigation. Members receive additional training through their monthly meetings and are eligible to attend most training available to sworn and civilian staff.
The Reserve Unit has three levels depending on the skills, experience, and training. (L1, L2, L3)
Minimum Qualifications
United States citizen
At least 21 years of age
Valid driver’s license
No convictions for felonies or serious misdemeanors.
