The Sheriff’s Office is utilizing the computerized Webcheck system to perform background checks for employment and other purposes. Webcheck allows quicker processing of fingerprint results and no longer requires the use of an actual fingerprint card with ink. Under special circumstances, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office can use BCI and FBI cards for ink rolled fingerprinting.

Cost for fingerprinting is $35 for a BCI check and $45 for a FBI check. The cost for rolled print cards is $45 for the first one, and $5 for each additional rolled print card.

Payment must be made payable to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office by money order or cashier’s check at the time the service is rendered. If using credit/debit, the cost after the service fee can be found here: Credit and Debit Pricing.

NO personal checks or cash are accepted as payment.

LOCAL ONLY background checks for records contained with the Washington County Jail can be completed at the jail, 101 Westview Avenue, Marietta, OH. This is for subjects that need a local check, only.
