Residence Checks
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office offers Residence Checks for Washington County residents when they are away from their homes.
If you would like to request checks be done while you are away, please download the form below and bring it to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, 309 Fourth Street, Marietta, OH. You can also obtain this form at WCSO. A valid ID will be required.
It is the policy of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office to conduct residence checks for no more than three months (90 days). If you are gone for 1-21 days, attempts will be made daily to check the residence. If you are gone for 22-90 days, attempts will be made twice a week to check the residence.
Also, note that residence checks will not be completed on hunting cabins.
