20 Feb 2025 Deputy Huffer began an investigation into the misuse of a credit card.
20 Feb 2025 Deputy Boyd was dispatched at approximately 1911 hours to Main Street, Waterford Township, to a report of a protection order violation. A protection order issued out of Morgan County, Ohio, listed Ivan Perea as the respondent. The protection order was confirmed. Perea had arrived at the location of the petitioner and barged into the bedroom of the home. Perea eventually left the residence in Waterford Township, where he has never resided. A warrant was requested and issued through Marietta Municipal Court on a charge of burglary and violating a protection order, for Ivan M. Perea, age 32, 5530 North Blackburn Road, McConnelsville, OH.
21 Feb 2025 Deputy Norris began an investigation into a stolen electric scooter in Marietta Township.
22 Feb 2025 at approximately 2218 hours Deputy Tucker conducted a traffic stop on a white Chevrolet Trailblazer bearing Indiana registration near the intersection of Greene and Fourth Street, Pioneer Township. The driver failed to stop in front of the stop bar located at Greene and Second Streets. The driver stated his name was Brian Robins, however eventually stated he was Dustin Lee Brooks, whom had 3 active warrants through our office. K9 Ozna was deployed and gave a positive indication. The probable cause search led to multiple drug abuse items being located. When asked about the items, Brooks admitted to all the drug abuse items in the vehicle being his. Dustin Lee Brooks, age 38, Terre Haute, IN, was placed under arrest on the outstanding warrants, as well as being charged with illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, and obstructing official business. Brooks was transported to the Washington County Jail.
23 Feb 2025 Deputy Davis began an investigation into a burglary in Warren Township. This investigation is ongoing.
The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail between 24 Feb 2025:
James Paul Farley II, age 50, Marietta, OH, domestic violence, a misdemeanor, and strangulation, a felony.
Jonathan David Ward, age 41, Marietta, OH, disrupting public service, a felony, and domestic violence, a misdemeanor.
There are currently 27 women and 102 men incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
