17 Apr 2025 Deputy Venoy was dispatched to Belpre Township in reference to an unruly child. Charges of domestic violence are pending in this investigation.
20 Apr 2025 Sgt. Augenstein and Deputy Davis responded to Dunham Township in reference to a report of Larry Swiger making threats to burn the house down with the complainant inside. Deputies spoke with the complainant and suspect separately. It was reported that Swiger was acting and talking strangely. Swiger had attempted to break the complainant/victim’s arm prior to this encounter. Swiger had begun yelling at the victim after waking up today and told the victim he would burn the house down with them both in it, which the victim states she believed he could do. Swiger stated that he wasn’t sure if he told her, the victim, he would burn the house down, and that he could not remember what all he said. Swiger stated that the incident where she believes he was going to break her arm, was him trying to stop her from leaving, denying that he did it in an attempt to cause her harm. Larry Eugene Swiger, age 43, Belpre, OH, was placed under arrest and charged with domestic violence.
21 Apr 2025 Deputy Thornberry began an investigation into a theft in Muskingum Township of currency. This investigation continues at this time.
