17 Apr 2025 Deputy Gerber and Deputy Wallace, while at Speedway, Second Street, Pioneer Township, observed a white male with red hair turn and walk the opposite way of the cruiser, while pulling into Speedway. The subject was observed reaching into his hoodie pocket pulling out what appeared to be a wallet. During that incident, Deputy Gerber observed a tied baggie with what appeared to have a white color to it, fall out of his hoodie pocket. The subject picked the white tied baggie up off the ground, and rushed away. Deputy Gerber attempted to make contact with the male, locating him in the alleyway behind the Speedway. Deputies made contact with the male, identified as Alec Lee Davis, questioning him about the white in color baggie that fell from his pocket. Davis denied any of the allegations presented to him, stating it was just his wallet falling to the ground. A consensual search of his person was conducted, finding no contraband. Deputy Gerber observed the area briefly for the white tied baggie, and did not locate it. Davis was released and able to leave. A more in depth search was made of the area for the tied white baggie. While searching the exterior back side wall of speedway a white baggie, consistent with the one observed falling from Davis’ pocket, as well as suspected psychedelic mushrooms were located by a drain pipe on the ground against the wall. This was about 20 feet from where Davis was located. Deputies patrolled the area for Davis, locating him underneath the Washington Street bridge. Davis denied the suspected cocaine and suspected psychedelic mushrooms was his. Davis, age 27, 708 Front Street, Apt. 15, Marietta, OH, was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail charged with possession of drugs and tampering with evidence.
