3 Mar 2025 Deputy Davis responded to 32 Knob Drive, Dunham Township, to check the residence for a juvenile.  This request came from the Tyler County Sheriff’s Office. Deputy Davis met with Landon Dearth who advised the juvenile was currently in the residence. Deputy Davis asked Dearth to bring the juvenile to their location so he could speak with the juvenile. While speaking with the juvenile, it was advised that earlier in the day,  around 1130 hours, Dearth and the juvenile got into an argument over the juvenile wanting to leave. The juvenile stated Dearth had taken their phone and hid it, also pinning the juvenile against the wall, and grabbing him/her by the arms.  Deputy Davis did observe bruises on the juvenile’s arms.  Also reported was the fact that Dearth had choked him/her to the point where they couldn’t breathe and were “gasping for air.”  No bruising to the neck was observed.  In speaking with Dearth about the different bruising on the juvenile, Dearth stated it was from helping him carry boards and accidentally dropping them on their foot.  Another bruise he stated was from where they fell off the bed.  Landon Arthur Dearth, age 19, was placed under arrest and charged with assault.
