17 Jan 2025 Deputy Welch began an investigation into a financial scam/theft of over $1200 in Belpre Township.  This investigation is ongoing.

21 Jan 5225 Deputy Tucker along with the Salem Fire Department Squad responded to the home of a deceased individual.

23 Jan 2025 Deputy Groves responded to the scene of an animal not being restrained. The owner had previously been warned, however the animal was now owned by another subject.  The current owner was warned reference charges in the future.

22 Jan 2025 Deputy Welch began an investigation in Belpre Township regarding a check being passed on an account owned by the victim.  This case remains under investigation.

22 Jan 2025 at approximately 20:42 hours Deputy Boyd was dispatched to Waterford Township to a domestic violence complaint that occurred at around 0900 earlier that day. Dispatch advised they received a call from an individual wanting to make a report on Aidan Martin. Neither the complainant or suspect were at the residence upon law enforcement arriving. The complainant spoke on the phone with Deputy Boyd who advised that Martin had pushed them onto the bed, then came up behind her and put her in a chokehold.  The victim stated she could not breath at that point.  Later that evening while visiting in Vienna, WV, the Wood County Sheriff’s Department arrested Aidan Martin for stalking/harassment.  The victim had visible scratch marks on her neck from a physical altercation earlier in the day.  A warrant was requested and issued for Aidan Matthew Martin, age 26, Beverly, OH, on a charge of domestic violence and strangulation.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail between 31 Jan 2025 and 3 Feb 2025:

Lacey Renee Waybright, age 29, Parkersburg, WV, probation violation, a felony.

Eric Ellis Luke, age 38, Marietta, OH,  probation violation, a misdemeanor.

Tanner Michael Hazelton, age 30, Columbus Grove, OH, probation violation, a felony.

Jeremy Edward Ohse, age 37, Marietta, OH, contempt of court, Licking Co.

Marquise Tyrone Marshall, age 28, Marietta, OH, domestic violence and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. 

Kevin Matthew Lohoefener, age 39,  Parkersburg, WV, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

Waylon Franklin McCune, age 50, Belpre, OH, strangulation and domestic violence, both felonies.

Cecily Mae Church, age 35, Zanesville, OH, possession of fentanyl, a felony.

 There are currently 22 women and 97 men incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
