26 Feb 2025 Lt. Brown was patrolling the area of I-77 southbound near the 3 MM, Pioneer Township, when he observed a vehicle bearing WV registration. Contact was made with dispatch and the plate was confirmed expired in 2020. A traffic stop was initiated and the owner/driver was found to be Benjamin Long. Long advised he was unsure when he renewed his plates, then realizing it was over 4 years ago. A citation was issued to Long, Parkersburg, WV, for expired registration.
27 Feb 20245 Deputy Welch began an investigation in Adams Township of misuse of credit card(s).
27 Feb 2025 deputies were dispatched to Maze Road, Dunham Township, to a dispute between the caller/victim and Codey Maze. It was reported to Lt. Brown that an argument had ensued between the victim and Maze, and the victim was trying to leave. Maze reportedly pushed her down on the bed and was trying to keep her from leaving. Maze had also become angry when the victim caused damage to a cabinet. Maze had then shoved her to the ground causing her to hit her head and then Maze tried to pick her up and she responded by biting him. This action caused Maze to shove her into the shower. Maze reported the victim caused her own injuries. Injury to Maze was also observed. Maze’s statements were inconsistent. The victim was provided medical attention. Codey Dallas Maze, age 31, Belpre, OH, was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail charged with assault.
27 Feb 2025 Captain Hunter observed a vehicle operating a vehicle near State Route 676 and Warren Chapel Road, fail to stop at the clearly visible stop sign at that location. The driver was travelling at approximately 60 miles per hour and sped up to run the stop sign in order to get out in front of Captain Hunter’s vehicle. The traffic stop was conducted and the juvenile driver did acknowledge running the stop sign. A citation for failure to stop at a stop sign was issued to the juvenile.
28 Feb 2025 Deputy Thornberry began an investigation into a financial scam that occurred in Warren Township.

Ulysses Eugene Wells, age 45, Belpre, OH, failure to comply with order or signal of a peace officer, driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, driving in marked lanes and no seatbelt, all misdemeanors.
Kurt Elden Williams, age 44, Caldwell, OH, probation violation, a felony.
Donna Marie Laudermilt, age 35, Chillicothe, obstructing official business, a felony, and 3 counts of assaults, all misdemeanors.
Ivan Moises Perea, age 32, McConnelsville, OH, burglary, a felony, and violate protection order, a misdemeanor.
Lexus Iasia Cunningham, age 29, Belpre, OH, probation violation, a felony.
Charles Edgar Henderhan, age 61, Marietta, OH, 2 counts aggravated menacing and using weapons while intoxicated, all misdemeanors.
Cody Joseph Brooker, age 26, Waterford, OH, obstructing official business, a misdemeanor, and tampering with evidence, a felony.
Christopher Wayne Vandergrift, age 32, Cutler, OH, contempt of court.
Matthew Scott Salla, age 30, Macksburg, OH, having weapons while under disability, a felony.
Carolyn Marie Spencer, age 38, Belpre, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor.
There are currently 29 women and 98 men incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
