14 Mar 2025 Deputies along with the Lowell Adams Vol. Fire Department squad responded to conduct a welfare check, finding the subject had passed away.

15 Mar 2025 Deputy Welch began an investigation into scams where the callers were requesting money for bond from an arrest warrant, using current Judges and law enforcement officer’s names to further the scam. This case is continuing.
15 Mar 2025 Deputy Boyd was dispatched to Belpre Township to locate Quinton Ramirez, a fugitive from West Virginia. Deputy Boyd arrived and located Ramirez, confirmed he was the individual wanted by the State of West Virginia, and placed him under arrest. Quintin Avery William Ramirez, age 33, Little Hocking, OH, was also charged with being a fugitive from justice.
15 Mar 2025 Deputy Huffer was in the Decatur Township area. Information was obtained that Jonathan Angus was in the wooded area watching another subject’s residence. A verbal altercation ensued between Angus and the individual, with Angus advancing towards the subject with a glass bottle, holding it by the neck as a striking weapon. The individual retreated to his truck for safety and Angus then threw a brick at the vehicle breaking the windshield. Jonathan P Angus, 9531 Federal Road, Cutler, OH, was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail charged with aggravated menacing. Later Angus was taken for medical treatment when he became belligerent and uncooperative towards the health care workers. Angus requested a drink from a nurse and upon the nurse getting the water and returning, Angus requested assistance with drinking it. Angus was further assisted with holding the cup and straw up to his mouth, Angus took a few drinks and spit the water back onto the nurse, covering her hand and arm with water from his mouth. A charge of assault was filed by Deputy Gerber on Angus. Angus was returned to the Washington County Jail.

Terry Brian Fox, age 50, Belpre, OH, aggravated possession of drugs, a felony, and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.
Jody Lynn Wright, age 45, Lowell, OH, aggravated trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs, both felonies, and contempt of court, civil.
James Ryan Andrews, age 40, Little Hocking, OH, possession of drugs and tampering with evidence, both felonies.
Alex Harvey Franklin Patterson, age 30, Akron, OH, improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, a felony.
Travis Ray Preston, age 43, Paintsville, KY, driving in a marked lane, drug paraphernalia, OVI, and possession of drug abuse instruments, all misdemeanors, possession of heroin and trafficking in heroin, both felonies.
There are currently 27 women and 106 men incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
