10 Apr 2025 Deputy Tucker began an initial investigation into a dog bite incident in Adams Township. This case remains under investigation.
11 Apr 2025 Deputy Windland along with other deputies and the Little Hocking Vol. Fire Department personnel responded to the scene of an unresponsive individual. Medical attention was given to the patient.
11 Apr 2025 Deputy Gerber began an investigation into a telecommunication harassment incident in Marietta Township. This case remains under investigation.
11 Apr 2025 Deputies Tucker and Thornberry conducted a traffic stop on I 77 southbound at/or near the 7 mile marker, Muskingum Township, on a 2008 Chevrolet sedan bearing WV registration, for a marked lanes violation. Contact was made with the driver of the vehicle who appeared disoriented. The driver was asked to exit the vehicle and further inquiry was made regarding where they were headed and where they were coming from. The driver was unfamiliar with who the individuals were in the vehicle, other than the front seat passenger. The driver stated they was asked to pick the two subjects up. The front passenger was questioned, however his story was not consistent with the driver’s. All subjects were asked to exit the vehicle. During this process a burnt foil and a cylinder container were in plain view in the front driver’s door area. All occupants were then searched in which Lamonta Thomas revealed a hard round ball like substance that was indicative of contraband. Thomas removed the object and it appeared to be fentanyl. This was later weighed and discovered to be 10.12 grams. A search of the vehicle also revealed a scales. Lamonta Isaiah Thomas, age 18, 642 Minerva Place, Akron, OH, was placed under arrest and charged with trafficking in drugs and possession of fentanyl.
13 Apr 2025 at approximately 0117 hours Deputy Gerber responded to Pinecrest Drive, Waterford Township, to a report of a domestic violence incident. A verbal altercation had occurred between the caller and Lindsay Heiss. The verbal altercation escalated to becoming a physical altercation and Heiss struck the victim across the face with an open hand. Lindsay Marie Heiss, age 23, Beverly, OH, was charged with domestic violence, and transported to the Washington County Jail.

Paige Elizabeth Moran, age 31, Parkersburg, WV, theft, a misdemeanor.
Lamonta Isaiah Thomas, age 18, Akron, OH, trafficking in drugs and possession of fentanyl, both felonies.
Lindsay Marie Heiss, age 23, Beverly, OH, domestic violence, a misdemeanor.
Matthew Ronald Foraker, age 41, Vincent, OH, domestic violence, a misdemeanor, and probation violation, a felony.
Brian Matthew Fox, age 51, Parkersburg, WV, driving while under the influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor.
There are currently 28 women and 107 men incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
