 8 Jan 2025 Deputy Gainer began an investigation into a financial scam.  The victim was scammed out of approximately $1700.  This investigation is ongoing in Dunham Township.

 8 Jan 2025 deputies responded along with the Dunham and Little Hocking Volunteer Fire Departments to a fire on Briggs Hill Road.  This investigation is ongoing with the State Fire Marshal’s Office.

 11 Jan 2025 Deputy Davis and the Oak Grove Vol. Fire Department Squad responded to Muskingum Township to the scene of a deceased individual.

 11 Jan 2025 Sgt. Augenstein along with the Little Hocking Vol. Fire Department Squad responded to the scene of a deceased individual.

 11 Jan 2025 Lt. Staats assisted the New Matamoras PD in reference to a burglary investigation in Grandview Township.

 The following individual(s) were processed into the Washington County Jail 9 Jan 2025 to 12 Jan 2025:

 Jessica Ann Oakley, age 34, Lowell, OH, breach of recognizance, and probation violation, both misdemeanors.

 Jacob Reuben Griffin, age 29, Belpre, OH, disorderly conduct from Athens County, disorderly conduct and probation violation, all misdemeanors.

 Lexus Iasia Cunningham, age 29, Belpre, OH, domestic violence, a misdemeanor, and disrupting public service, a felony.

 There are currently 24 women and 85 men being housed in the Washington County Jail.
