 28 Jan 2025 Deputy Tullius was conducting an investigation in the Beverly area.  It was brought to her attention that a video was posted on social media by Christopher Henderson in which direct threats were made to specific parents.  After concluding the investigation Deputy Tullius requested a summons be issued For Henderson to appear in Marietta Municipal Court on a charge of menacing.

28 Jan 2025 while patrolling Muskingum Drive, Sgt. Painter observed a passenger vehicle bearing OH registration commit a traffic violation. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver identified as Marc L. Jaeger.  Jaeger was extremely nervous while speaking with Sgt. Painter.  A K9 free air sniff was conducted with a positive hit being made on the vehicle.  A search of the vehicle yielded 30.69 grams of methamphetamine.  Marc Lewis Jaeger, age 57, 488 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, OH, was placed under arrest and charged with possession of drugs and trafficking drugs.  Jaeger was transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.

29 Jan 2025 Sgt. Augenstein along with the Devola Fire Department, responded to Millgate Road to a possible illegal burn.  This case remains under investigation.

1 Feb 2024 Lt. Johnson observed a pick up truck along SR 7/618 which had struck the guardrail.  A check of the vehicle revealed no occupants.  Little Hocking Vol. Fire personnel arrived stating they seen a subject walking.  Lt. Johnson made contact with that subject at the Par Mar and escorted the male subject back to the scene of the accident to meet with Ohio State Patrol authorities.

2 Feb 2024 Deputy B Gerber was dispatched to Liberty Township to a possible domestic incident.  After conducting the investigation it was determined that the juvenile would be charged with domestic violence and disrupting public services.

3 Feb 2025 Sgt. Augenstein and Deputy Davis responded to Congress Road, Belpre Township, to a report of Waylon Frankie McCune beating on an individual.  Upon arrival McCune was found on the front porch. The victim reports arguing and fighting with McCune for days. The victim stated McCune had struck her and choked her.  McCune advised the two had been fighting and he tried to distance himself from her.  McCune states when he got up to get a cigarette she made threats to him.  The victim advised these threats were made in self-defense.  Wayne Franklin McCune, age 50, 797 Congress Road, Belpre, OH, was placed under arrest and charged with domestic violence and strangulation and transported to the Washington County Jail.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail between 7 Feb 2025 to 9 Feb 2025:

Amy Nicole Tilson, age 33, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

Anya Chaneea Horsey, age 33, Parkersburg, WV, probation violation, a felony.

Emmanuel Phillip Arocho, age 42, Marietta, OH, domestic violence 2 counts, both misdemeanors.

Kirk Russell Slider, age 31, Marietta, OH, receiving stolen property 2 counts, theft of a motor vehicle 2 counts and receiving stolen property 2 counts, all felonies.

Richard Milton Starkey, age 66, Marietta, OH, probation violation, a felony.

Robert Hugh Staats, age 44, Belpre, OH, domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

There are currently 21 women and 107 men incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
