18 Mar 2024 Deputy Welch was on patrol and dispatched to Veto Road, Dunham Township, to a domestic incident involving Logan Grimm and another subject. Deputy Welch was advised by the victim that Logan punched him in the side of the head. When asked to show where he was struck he pointed to an area which showed no marks or physical evidence.  The victim states he was just eating when this occurred. Logan stated that he poked the victim and it was believed he was trying to knock the victim’s hat off.  While Deputy Welch was attempting to arrest Logan Grimm he would not follow the commands given to him.  Grimm remained in a chair and stated he was not going with deputies.  Attempts were made to place Grimm in handcuffs in which he placed one arm under himself, preventing us from cuffing him.  Logan Wesley Grimm, age 35, 9160 Veto Road, Belpre, OH, was charged with domestic violence and obstructing official business.

23 Mar 2024 Lt. Johnson issued a citation to Ivan Z Clark, 7730 New Road, Beverly, OH, for speed, 60 mph in a 35 mph zone.

24 Mar 2024 Sgt. Parks was stationary at Newbury Road and State Route 7, Belpre Township.  A vehicle was observed traveling at a high rate of speed, estimated at approximately 80 mph.  Attempts to catch the vehicle and initiate a traffic stop were made.  Sgt. Parks made contact with the driver on SR 7 in the city limits of Belpre.  The vehicle was paced at 80 mph during that time. The vehicle stopped before the emergency lights were activated.  A citation was issued to Edward Wilbur Williams II, 922 King Road, Newark, OH, for speed.

24 Mar 2024 deputies responded to Lowell Hill Road, Waterford Township, to a report of Bradley Kearns coming to the residence with a gun. Subjects had left the residence and  were unsure if Kearns was inside the residence.  Contact was made with the callers who stated Kearns came to the residence to speak about him serving her with eviction paperwork. The conversation turned into an argument at that time.  It was reported that Kearns made a comment in reference it being his residence and he could shoot anyone in it.  It was stated that Kearns went to the basement and the subjects heard a gun being racked.  Kearns could be seen coming up the stairs and carrying a long gun.  The subjects at the residence then ran out the back door of the home. Kearns advised officers that he had come to the residence to speak to a subject there, in which another individual included herself in the conversation, where it then became an argument. Kearns stated he did go to the basement to remove himself from the incident and did rack the gun, but did not load a round.  Kearns stated he had no plans of harming them.  Bradley A. Kearns, age 31, 560 Lowell Hill Road, Waterford, OH, was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail for two counts of aggravated menacing.

Kayla Lee McCauley, age 26, Parkersburg, WV, trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs, both felonies.

Matthew John Queen, age 38, Parkersburg, WV, trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs, both felonies.

Robert Michael Sparks, age 42, Huttonsville, WV, possession of drugs and trafficking in drugs, both felonies.

Shawn Douglas Fry, age 30, Caldwell, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

Eric Ellis Luke, age 37, Marietta, OH, OVI and driving under suspension, both misdemeanors.

There are currently 27 women and 87 men being housed in the Washington County Jail.
