21 Feb 2025 Deputy Derkin began an investigation into an altercation on a school bus in Barlow Township.

24 Feb 2025 Deputy Groves began an investigation into a dog bite complaint in Watertown Township.

24 Feb 2025 Deputy Windland responded to Muskingum Township to a report of James Farley II making threats of harm to another individual.  Upon making contact, Farley appeared to be intoxicated.  Farley denied making any threats to the individual.  It was also reported that Farley had punched the individual several times in the face, as well as using both hands to strangle the subject.  James Paul Farley II, age, 135 Brandy Drive, Marietta, OH, was transported to the Washington County Jail charged with domestic violence and strangulation. 

24 Feb 2025 Deputy Wallace was dispatched to Muskingum Township.  A call to dispatch, with subjects screaming in the background, and Jonathan Ward saying there’s no problem, was the reason for the response.  Deputies spoke with subjects who stated Ward was in need of medical attention.  The subjects tried by calling 911, when Ward took the phone away from them (twice) preventing them from contacting law enforcement. Jonathan David Ward, age 41, 452 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, OH, was arrested and transported to Washington County Jail and charged with disrupting public service.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail between 26 Feb 2025:

Ashlee Nicole Haught, age 32, Marietta, OH, 3 counts of probation violation, all felonies.

Robert Louis Randolph Jr., age 70, Stockport, OH, violating a protection order, a misdemeanor.

There are currently 25 women and 92 men incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
