27 Jan 2025 Deputy Boyd began an investigation into a stolen WV license plate.  This occurred while at a residence in Belpre Township.

27 Jan 2025 Deputy Norris began an investigation into a Muskingum Township resident having a residence broken into and items of value removed.  This case remains under investigation.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail between 4 Feb 2025 to 5 Feb 2025:

Timothy Kelly Parsley, age 50, Lenore, WV, probation violation, a felony. 

James Carl Mitchell, age 32, Matewan, WV, Identity fraud, a felony.

Rayburn Bragg Buchanan, age 50, Marietta, OH, aggravated menacing, a misdemeanor.

Justin Michael Davis, age 41, Belpre, OH, domestic violence, a felony.

Brittany Dawn Lane, age 38, Vincent, OH, breach of recognizance and domestic violence, both misdemeanors.

Kevin Michael Friend, II, age 48, obstructing official business, and assault, both felonies.

David Wesley Lowery, age 38, Marietta, OH, trespass in a habitation when a person is present or likely to be present and menacing by stalking, both felonies.

There are currently 21 women and 98 men incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
