11 Nov 2023  Sgt. Stillson was patrolling northbound on I77 at the 2 mile marker when he observed a vehicle bearing OH registration commit a marked lanes violation after the entire right 1/3 of the car drove onto the shoulder.  A traffic stop was conducted and the driver identified as Chelsie L Dutton Neader.  Neader was slurring her speech, as well as an odor of alcohol about her person, and her eyes appeared to be glossy.  Neader stated she had a Busch Light earlier in the day but did not consume any alcohol recently. An open case of Busch Light was observed in the back seat.  While performing SFSTs, Neader performed poorly during the three standardized tests.  Chelsie L. Dutton Neader, age 34, 1061 Laurel Ridge Road, Lowell, OH, was placed under arrest and transported to the Marietta Police Department for BAC testing, which she refused.  Subsequently, Neader was issued a citation for  OVI.

11 Nov 2023 deputies along with the Reno VFD responded to the residence of a deceased individual.

12 Nov 2023 two 911 hang up calls were received.

12 Nov 2023 the following written/verbal traffic citations were issued:  speed, and turn signal.

12 Nov 2023 deputies responded to Newport Township to a report of disorderly conduct.

12 Nov 2023 a welfare check was conducted in Marietta Township.

12 Nov 2023 deputies assisted at the end of a pursuit that began in Parkersburg and ended in Belpre. 

12 Nov 2023 a deputy assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol on a traffic stop.

12 Nov 2023 a report of a juvenile leaving home was reported.  Child was located.

12 Nov 2023 an alarm at a business in Muskingum Township was answered. 

12 Nov 2023 an unruly juvenile was reported and the child was counseled by the deputy.

12 Nov 2023 a report of an assault was made, however subjects were advised that disorderly conduct charges could be filed if the activity continues.

13 Nov 2023 Sgt. Parks began an investigation into a fake counterfeit one hundred dollar bill.

13 Nov 2023 six 911 hang up calls were received.

13 Nov 2023 the following written/verbal traffic citations were issued:  speed, and marked lanes.

13 Nov 2023 a disorderly conduct report was taken in Waterford Township.  Subjects were advised of their options. 

13 Nov 2023 a deputy picked up a K9 in Liberty Township to transport it to HSOV.

13 Nov 2023 a welfare check was requested in Fairfield Township.

13 Nov 2023 a welfare check was requested in Marietta Township.

13 Nov 2023 deputies responded to a neighbor dispute in Adams Township.

13 Nov 2023 a deputy responded to animals at large.  Subjects were advised in reference to charges in the future.

13 Nov 2023 a deputy met with an individual in Newport Township in reference to a complaint.

13 Nov 2023 a deputy removed a deer from the roadway in Dunham Township.

The following individual(s) were processed into the Washington County Jail 13 Nov 2023:

Robert Earl O’Brien, Jr., age 41, Marietta, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

Thomas Gale Little, Jr., age 33, St. Mary’s, WV, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

There are currently 21 women and 82 men being housed in the Washington County Jail.
