13 Sept 2023 Deputy Norris was advised that a resident on Leith Run Road, Grandview Township had just reported a truck stolen from the driveway and believed the suspect driving to be headed south on State Route 7.

Deputy Norris was on patrol and and had not observed the vehicle, described as a 2011 GMC truck, blue and black with flames on it, pass his location.

Deputy Norris continued patrolling the area for the truck and suspect. Dispatch advised that the victim called back and stated the vehicle was on the St. Mary’s, WV, bridge in Newport, at that time.

The WV State Police had been dispatched to the scene and found the vehicle was abandoned on the bridge with the flashers on, and was eventually towed from the scene.
