19 Sept 2023 a deputy was requested to assist the Lowell PD on an animal call. The request was later cancelled.
19 Sept 2023 a deputy assisted the Marietta PD along with an HSOV Officer with deceased K9s under the interstate bridge.
19 Sept 2023 Deputy Norris was stationary in a school zone, Frontier Local. Deputy Norris observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed, based on visual observation, during the restricted hours of the reduced speed limit. A traffic stop was conducted and a citation for speed was issued to Trevor Boerio, 103 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, OH. Boerio stated he was going 60 miles per hour.
19 Sept 2023 an alarm was answered in Marietta Township. Confirmation was received that the alarm was accidental.
19 Sept 2023 a welfare check on a K9 was requested for Newport Township. The K9 was found in good condition.
19 Sept 2023 a report of an attempted theft was made regarding a debit card. Subject was not out any money and was advised of some information she may need.
19 Sept 2023 a welfare check on a K9 was requested for Blennerhassett Township. The K9 was found in good condition.
19 Sept 2023 a request for assistance from the dog warden was made regarding a missing cat.
19 Sept 2023 Deputy Tucker was patrolling State Route 7 near Drag Strip Road, Belpre Township. A pick up truck was observed traveling at a high rate of speed in the oncoming lane. The speed was detected and confirmed at 81 MPH in a posted 60 MPH zone. A citation for speed was issued to Jonathan Ross McAllister, 900 Olive Street, Parkersburg, WV.
19 Sept 2023 a deputy stopped at a private property accident scene and stood by until the Marietta PD could arrive.
19 Sept 2023 a report of a subject tearing up the residence was made. Subject had left and could not be located. Reported no acts of violence at the time.
19 Sept 2023 a report of an aggressive dog in Waterford Township was received. Subject had been told numerous times that the dog could not be there. The individual is leaving with the dog at this time.
19 Sept 2023 a deputy stopped at a disabled vehicle in Pioneer Township. A tow truck was called and was dispatched.
19 Sept 2023 a report of a juvenile child running off was made. Deputies responded and the child was located.
19 Sept 2023 a deputy assisted the New Matamoras PD with a report of violence being overheard. No violence occurred. Subjects were removing an air conditioner.
19 Sept 2023 a report of an alarm being heard in Newport Township was made. A deputy responded and could not hear any alarms. Places of interest were checked finding no entry.
19 Sept 2023 an alarm was reported in Warren Township. Deputies responded finding the alarm to be accidental.
19 Sept 2023 a deputy located an open door at a location no longer being used. Lights were turned off and doors secured.
19 Sept 2023 one 911 hang up call was received.
19 Sept 2023 a deputy stopped for a disabled vehicle. Subject ran out of gas and was then on his way.
19 Sept 2023 an individual placed a K9 at HSOV that was found running loose in the roadway. A deputy secured the dog.
19 Sept 2023 a deputy stopped with a possible disabled vehicle. The subject had stopped to check/secure the load.
19 Sept 2023 a resident reported a subject prowling around the fields on his property. Subject was seen running in fields, however believed to be ran off by the land owner. The area was patrolled for the subject.
19 Sept 2023 a deputy stopped to speak with subjects on Colegate Drive in reference to campaign signs being torn down.
19 Sept 2023 deputies conducted follow up, patrolled school zones, and attempted/served civil paperwork.
19 Sept 2023 deputies completed residence checks and extra patrol requests as needed.
19 Sept 2023 the following written/verbal warnings were issued for traffic violations: improper display, fictitious registration, marked lanes, turn signal, defective equipment, speed, assured clear distance, expired registration and lanes of travel.
The following individual(s) were processed into the Washington County Jail 19 Sept 2023:
Brenillius Ken’L Duckworth, age 36, Dayton, OH, aggravated possession of drugs and possession of drugs, both felonies, and driving under suspension, a misdemeanor.
Dylan Michael Tennant, age 26, homeless, probation violation, and criminal damage, both misdemeanors.
There are currently 23 women and 79 men being housed in the Washington County Jail.
