18 Sept 2023 Deputy Eichhorn observed a vehicle bearing OH registration commit traffic violation(s) while traveling in Pioneer Township.  A traffic stop was initiated and contact was made with the driver, Johnathan Hess. While speaking with Hess, Deputy Eichhorn could smell a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle.  When questioned, Hess eventually turned over a clear plastic baggie containing marijuana.  (Later found to weigh 5.30 grams.) Hess exited the vehicle and upon a search of Hess, a bundle of US currency totaling $786 was found on his person. Inside the vehicle a white crystalline substance consistent with methamphetamines was located, total weight 3.35 grams. Johnathan Michael Hess, age 36,  218 Alta Street, Marietta, OH, was placed under arrest and charged with possession of drugs.  Hess was transported to the Washington County Jail.

18 Sept 2023 WCJ inmate Nicholas Davis broke a security glass in one of the jail dorms.  Davis spoke with officers, requesting to move and the request was denied.  At that time is when the glass was broken by Davis.  Davis, age 31, 24858 Hoot Owl Ridge, Caldwell, OH, was charged with vandalism.

18 Sept 2023 Deputy Ullom conducted a traffic stop on Cullen Road, Pioneer Township, on a vehicle bearing OH registration.  During the stop, Deputy Davis utilized K9 Ivar to conduct a sniff of the vehicle, which yielded a positive indication. The search revealed approximately 1.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine, a methamphetamine smoking device and scales.  Brenillius Kene’L Duckworth, age 36, 6108 Hemingway Road, Dayton, OH, was arrested for possession of drugs. Duckworth was transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.

18 Sept 2023 deputies patrolled school zones, served/attempted numerous civil papers and warrants, completed follow up as well as completed residence checks and/or extra patrol requests.

18 Sept 2023 deputies issued written and/or verbal warnings for the following traffic violations:  turn signals, equipment, fictitious plates, improper passing, driving under suspension, speed, driving habits and obstructed license plate.

18 Sept 2023 one 911 hang up call was received.

18 Sept 2023 Megan Pierce arrived at WCSO to turn herself in on a warrant.  Pierce was transported to the Washington County Jail.

18 Sept 2023 a report was made of a dog possibly struck by a vehicle after it had been running loose.

18 Sept 2023 a tenant/landlord incident was reported.  All subjects were advised of possible DOC charges if the conduct continued.

18 Sept 2023 a report was received of subject(s) hauling away a tree that possibly was cut on Wayne National Forest property.  The vehicle trailer and tree were impounded after it had broken down on the roadway.

18 Sept 2023 a deputy and K9 assisted the Marietta Police Dept.

The following individual(s) were processed into the Washington County Jail 18 Sept 2023:

Misty Louise Caldwell, age 46, Marietta, OH, probation violation, 2 counts, both felonies.

Johnathan Michael Hess, age 36, Marietta, OH, possession of drugs, a felony.

Megan Nicole Pierce, age 24, homeless, theft from a disabled adult, theft of credit cards, both felonies, and fugitive from justice, a misdemeanor.

Taja Leah Horner, age 37, Belpre, OH, assault, a misdemeanor.

Brittany Nicole Kiser, age 32, The Plains, OH, probation violation, 2 counts, both felonies.

Jeremy Allen Hines, age 30, homeless, domestic violence, a felony, criminal damaging/endangering and domestic violence, both misdemeanors.

There are currently 23 women and 85 men being housed in the Washington County Jail.
