10 Sept 2023 four 911 hang up calls were received.   

10 Sept 2023 deputies served/attempted numerous civil papers and warrants, as well as completed residence checks and/or extra patrol requests.

10 Sept 2023 the following written/verbal warnings were issued on the following traffic violations:  improper display, lanes of travel, registration, and equipment.

10 Sept 2023 a report of loud music in Grandview Township was reported.  Deputies advised to turn the music down.

10 Sept 2023 a neighbor harassing another was reported. Deputy responded to ensure no threats of harm or crime had occurred.

10 Sept 2023 deputies assisted a Meigs County deputy who was transporting an inmate when the inmate began kicking the door.

10 Sept 2023 the Ohio State Patrol requested deputies check a residence for a subject that was the registered owner of a vehicle possibly involved in a crash.

10 Sept 2023 a report was made of a juvenile destroying things in the home.  No physical violence to any persons was reported.  Assistance was given.

10 Sept 2023 a welfare check was requested on a resident in Newport Township.

10 Sept 2023 assistance was given to Pleasants County SO in Newport Township on a traffic stop.

10 Sept 2023 a verbal argument between subjects in Marietta Township was reported. 

11 Sept 2023 deputies conducted school zone patrol before and after school hours,  served/attempted numerous civil papers and warrants, as well as completed residence checks and/or extra patrol requests.

11 Sept 2023 seven 911 hang up calls were received.

11 Sept 2023 a verbal warning was given for no tail lights.

11 Sept 2023 a report of loud music in Grandview Township was reported.  Deputies advised to turn the music down again. 

11 Sept 2023 an alarm was received from Marietta Township.  The business was checked, found to be accidental.

11 Sept 2023 a deputy met with a subject who stated threats were made by an estranged spouse.  No threats were found to have occurred. Subjects were advised to not contact each other unless necessary.

11 Sept 2023 a subject reported yelling and crying from a camper in Dunham Township.  An animal had gotten into the residence and they were attempting to get it out.

11 Sept 2023 Marietta Probation Department requested assistance.

11 Sept 2023 a deputy reported a suspicious person at Fort Frye Schools.  The subject was advised to stay off the grounds. 

11 Sept 2023 a subject caught two stray K9s in Pioneer Township.  They were transported to HSOV.

11 Sept 2023 deputies and the Reno Vol. Fire Department Squad responded to a possible overdose.  Medical attention was given.

11 Sept 2023 a deputy responded to a residence where subjects believed someone that does not live there may have been inside the residence.  Assistance was given.

11 Sept 2023 a report was made of a car window being broken. 

The following individual(s) were processed into the Washington County Jail 11 Sept 2023:

Erik Matthew Posten, age 22, homeless, disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor.  

Kenneth Lee Tapp, age 54, homeless, criminal trespass, a misdemeanor.

Kathryn Dallas Hornbeck, age 22, Belpre, OH, probation violation, a felony.

Jeremy Donald Brown, age 40, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

Megan Nicole Gossett, age 33, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

James Lee Hall, age 44, Parkersburg, WV, hit skip, a misdemeanor.

Eric Brandon Siders, age 34, Marietta, OH, breach of recognizance, theft, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors.

There are currently 17 women and 85 men being housed in the Washington County Jail.
