8 Sept 2023 one 911 hang up call was received.  The call was transferred to the Marietta PD for a complaint in the city limits.

8 Sept 2023 deputies conducted school zone patrol before and after school hours,  served/attempted numerous civil papers and warrants, as well as completed residence checks and/or extra patrol requests.

8 Sept 2023 the following written/verbal warnings were issued on the following traffic violations: equipment, marked lanes of travel, registration, texting and driving, expired registration, following too closely, improper display and window tint.

8 Sept 2023 a vehicle at the Veto boat ramp was checked.  Vehicle was found to have broken down.

8 Sept 2023 a disabled vehicle was checked along I77.  The subject had help on the way.

8 Sept 2023 an unoccupied vehicle partially in the roadway was checked.  The vehicle was moved from the roadway.

8 Sept 2023 a deputy was requested by the Ohio State Highway Patrol to patrol for a semi driving recklessly on State Route 7, Newport Township. 

8 Sept 2023 a subject walking along Mt. Tom Road was checked and given a ride.

8 Sept 2023 assistance was requested at the Juvenile Center.

8 Sept 2023 a check was requested for a vehicle driving erratically at the 1 mile marker on I77.

8 Sept 2023 a welfare check was requested on a residence in Aurelius Township in reference to animals.  The animals were found to be in good shape.

8 Sept 2023 a K9 was picked up in Pioneer Township and transported to HSOV.

8 Sept 2023 a caller requested it be documented that the other parent would not return the child.

8 Sept 2023 Deputy Ullom began an investigation into a forgery.

8 Sept 2023 deputies were requested at the Warren Elementary School to an altercation in the parking lot.   No threats or acts of violence occurred.

8 Sept 2023 a deputy assisted the Beverly Police Department with a trespassing report.

8 Sept 2023 a deputy assisted a driver, who had been run off the road on his motorcycle.  The motorcycle was in the ditch and a tow truck also responded to assist. 

8 Sept 2023 a deputy located an open door at a business and secured the building.

8 Sept 2023 a deputy responded to Marietta College and picked up 2 K9s for transport to HSOV.

8 Sept 2023 a deputy assisted the Marietta PD with a subject on the Putnam Street bridge.

9 Sept 2023 a report of possible disorderly conduct was made.  Nothing criminal found, subjects were advised of their options.

9 Sept 2023 a report was obtained of subjects sleeping at a Marietta Thrift shop.  The subject’s vehicle had broken down.  No criminal acts.

9 Sept 2023 a deputy assisted the Marietta PD in the search of a subject in an investigation. 

9 Sept 2023 a deputy responded to Fearing Township to a subject reporting someone pounding on their door in the early morning hours.

9 Sept 2023 a deputy checked on a subject riding a bicycle on SR 7 in the early morning hours.

9 Sept 2023 an alarm in Watertown Township was checked, finding the alarm to be accidental.

9 Sept 2023 a deputy responded to Dunham Township to patrol for a vehicle that had struck another vehicle at a residence. 

9 Sept 2023 deputies responded to Marietta Township to conduct a welfare check on a resident.

9 Sept 2023 a deputy responded to Warren Township to a report of a truck window being broken.

9 Sept 2023 Deputy Norris began an investigation into a scam over the internet for the purchase of a K9.

9 Sept 2023 a deputy checked the welfare of subjects at a residence in Muskingum Township.

9 Sept 2023 a deputy stopped to assist Belpre PD on a traffic stop. 

9 Sept 2023 a report was made of juveniles being assaulted by other juveniles.  It was determined that no assault had taken place.

9 Sept 2023 a welfare check was requested on a resident.  Subject was found to live in the city limits.  Marietta PD was advised.

9 Sept 2023 a check was made on a disabled vehicle in Dunham.  The driver had help on the way.

9 Sept 2023 a welfare check was made in Fairfield Township.  All subjects were found to be fine.

9 Sept 2023 a check was made at a residence where no one should be present at.  Information was obtained that someone was living there.

9 Sept 2023 assistance was given to the Marietta PD in reference to an accident report.

9 Sept 2023 deputies responded to a report of disorderly conduct.  No criminal activity was observed or reported.

9 Sept 2023 a deputy assisted Belpre PD with a traffic stop.

9 Sept 2023 deputies were dispatched to Belpre Township to a report of a dolly being stolen.  The dolly was found to have been sold by someone without the authority to do so.  The dolly was recovered.

9 Sept 2023 a deputy responded to a report of an assault.  Subject did not wish to make a report.

9 Sept 2023 a welfare check was completed in Grandview Township.

Justin Everett Bledsoe, age 41, Portsmouth, OH, possession of fentanyl, a felony, breach of recognizance and possession of drug abuse instruments, both misdemeanors.

Felicia Dawn Wallace, age 33, Waterford, OH, no seatbelt and no operator’s license, both misdemeanors.

Charles Brandon Ball, age 31, Marietta, OH, parole violation, a felony.

Antone Kristian Herring, age 24, Waverly, WV, 4 counts of assault, all misdemeanors.

Christina Diane Reynolds, age 25, Marietta, OH, assault, a misdemeanor.

Alen Walter Strunk, age 26, Newark, OH, possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors.

There are currently 18 women and 93 men being housed in the Washington County Jail.
