7 Sept 2023 Sgt. Stillson at approximately 0140 hours conducted stationary patrol at the intersection of State Route 7 and County House Lane, Marietta Township. A white truck was observed with a registration that was not illuminated. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver identified as Joshua S. Gibson. It was determined that Gibson’s license had expired. A citation was issued to Gibson, 115 Hart Street, Apt. 9, Marietta, OH, for driving with an expired driver’s license.
7 Sept 2023 deputies conducted school zone patrol before and after school hours, served/attempted numerous civil papers and warrants, as well as completed residence checks and/or extra patrol requests.
7 Sept 2023 Kathy Hunter turned herself in on a warrant at the Washington County Jail.
7 Sept 2023 the following written/verbal warnings were issued on the following traffic violations: lanes of travel, speed, stop bar and obstructed registration.
7 Sept 2023 four 911 hang up calls were received.
7 Sept 2023 William Anderson turned himself in at the Washington County Jail on a warrant.
7 Sept 2023 a welfare check was requested on two subjects who had not been in contact for weeks. Everything was found to be fine.
7 Sept 2023 subject requested it be documented that a vehicle window was broken in a vehicle which was sitting alongside the road.
7 Sept 2023 a stray dog in the area of I77 was reported. Negative locate.
7 Sept 2023 an alarm at a Belpre business was answered. All buildings were secure.
7 Sept 2023 a subject reported items stolen from his residence over the weekend. Requested extra patrol only.
7 Sept 2023 an individual turned over a debit card they had found. Card returned to the family of the subject.
7 Sept 2023 an alarm at a Warren Township business was answered. All buildings were secure.
7 Sept 2023 Deputy Davis responded to Newport Township, to a report of an assault by Bovoe D. Dunn on 6 Sept 2023 in Grandview Township. Dunn and two subjects were in a vehicle when Dunn began calling the victim names. The victim became upset and threw something out the window, at which time Dunn struck the victim in the left arm, while he was driving. The bruising to the arm was observed. Dunn had also struck the other individual over a week prior, in the eye. Dunn was located walking along State Route 7 and was questioned on both incidents. Bovoe Duane Dunn, age 30, New Matamoras, OH, was placed under arrest and charged with domestic violence and assault. Dunn was transported to the Washington County Jail.
7 Sept 2023 deputies conducted a welfare check in Wesley Township.
7 Sept 2023 Pleasants County, WV, requested assistance on a traffic stop.
7 Sept 2023 a welfare check was completed on subjects walking late at night. Everything was found to be fine.

Thomas Matthew Pearison, age 36, Belpre, OH, aggravated possession of drugs and possession of fentanyl, both felonies, and probation violation, a misdemeanor.
Bovoe Duane Dunn, age 30, New Matamoras, OH, domestic violence, a felony, and assault, a misdemeanor.
There are currently 21 women and 93 men being housed in the Washington County Jail.
