22 Aug 2023 a deputy checked an alarm in Dunham Township twice.  Buildings secure.  Follow up with their alarm company.  

22 Aug 2023 deputies responded to Muskingum Township to a possible break in of a vehicle.  Subjects were gone upon arrival.  

22 Aug 2023 a deputy responded to Barlow Township to a burnt vehicle in a business lot.  Subject was advised reference having the vehicle removed.  Owner met with and will be getting the vehicle moved.  

22 Aug 2023 a deputy responded to Belpre Township to check on a situation with a male subject.  Assistance is being offered to the subject.  

22 Aug 2023 a deputy picked up a K9 from Marietta College and transported it to HSOV.  

22 Aug 2023 a deputy responded to Adams Township to remove debris from the roadway on State Route 60.  

22 Aug 2023 a suspicious person was reported and a deputy located the subject, who was just waiting, nothing suspicious.  

22 Aug 2023 a deputy located a dog running in the roadway in Watertown Township.  The owner was attempting to catch the dog, which did occur.  

22 Aug 2023 a deputy responded with the Warren VFD Squad to a subject who had fallen.  Nothing suspicious.  

22 Aug 2023 deputies responded to Marietta Township to an alarm.  It was determined to be accidental.   

22 Aug 2023 deputies conducted a welfare check of an individual reportedly wanting to harm themselves.   Subject did not do any harm to himself or others.  

22 Aug 2023 a deputy responded to Fearing Township to a reported disorderly situation.  Subjects were met with, no threats or acts of violence occurred.   

22 Aug 2023 a deputy met with a Marietta Township residence regarding identity theft.  Subject was advised on ways to handle this.  

22 Aug 2023 a deputy responded to Barlow Township to an alarm.  Building was secure.  

22 Aug 2023 three 911 hang up calls were received.  Two were confirmed accidental in the County, Marietta PD was advised of the other call.  

22 Aug 2023 the following verbal/written warnings were issued to traffic violations:  speed, traffic control device, marked lanes, defective equipment, distracted driving, and license plate light.

The following individual(s) were processed into the Washington County Jail 22  Aug 2023:  

Destiney Fae Castleberry, age 41, Wheeling, WV,  aggravated trafficking in drugs, aggravated possession of drugs, 2 counts, possession of criminal tools, and breach of recognizance, all felonies.  

Dana Michelle Steele, age 39, Wellston, OH, illegal conveyance of drugs, a felony, obstructing official business, theft and criminal trespass, all misdemeanors.  

Zachary Michael Mealey, age 30, Weston, WV, fugitive from justice, a misdemeanor.  

There are currently 22 women and 83 men being housed in the Washington County Jail.
