15 Jun 2023 Deputy Derkin responded to Wesley Township to a report of items missing from the residence. .
15 Jun 2023 while on patrol on State Route 60, Muskingum Township, Deputy Peters observed a vehicle operating on the road way above the posted speed limit. The speed was confirmed at 60 mph in a posted 45 mph zone. A traffic stop was conducted with Andrew Parker Grose. Grose, 103 Social Row, Marietta, OH, was issued a citation for speed.
16 Jun 2023 Deputy Windland responded to Barlow Township to a report of a stolen chainsaw and other items.
16 Jun 2023 Deputy Davis was patrolling State Route 7 near Ayers Blvd, Dunham Township, when he conducted a registration check on a vehicle. The check revealed the plates were expired in January 2023. A traffic stop was conducted with Hannah Furbe, 133 Mount Vernon Drive, Washington, WV, and a citation was issued for driving with expired registration.
17 Jun 2023 Sgt. Painter was patrolling State Route 7, Belpre Township, when he observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. The speed was confirmed at 80 mph in a posted 60 mph zone. A traffic stop was made with Andrew B. Farrell, 121 Thompson Court, Winchester, VA, and a citation for speed was issued.
17 Jun 2023 Deputy Windland was dispatched to Gantsville Road, Belpre Township, to a report of a verbal argument between two subjects. Rachel Culver advised Deputy Windland of a syringe and spoon with suspected residue in the home, which did not belong to her. When asked in reference to any other drugs or drug paraphernalia in the residence, Culver stated she was in possession of marijuana for personal use without a prescription. Culver obtained the jar of marijuana, cigarettes, THC oil and container. These items were taken as evidence. A summons is being requested for Rachel L. Culver, age 39, 518 Grantsville Road, Little Hocking, OH, for possession of drugs.
17 Jun 2023 Deputy Windland responded to Lane Road, Dunham Township, in reference to a report of $600 in fishing gear stolen from a truck. While speaking with Howard McLaughlin, who stated he had nothing to do with the fishing gear and knew nothing about it, information was obtained that McLaughlin had removed the property and hid it. The items were retrieved from the woods and returned to the victim. Howard C. McLaughlin, age 55, 540 King Avenue, Cutler, OH, will be summoned to Marietta Municipal Court on a charge of obstructing official business.
