21 May 2023 Deputy Windland responded to Wesley Township in reference to Charles Woodall being in an argument that had escalated into Woodall making threats to shoot the individual. The victim left the residence and met with Deputy Windland.  Later this date Deputy Winland placed Charles Ray Woodall, age 39, 600 Hill Road, Cutler, OH, under arrest for domestic violence and aggravated menacing.  Woodall was transported to the Washington County Jail.

21 May 2023 Deputy Norris began an investigation in Decatur Township regarding numerous items being removed from the property.  Those items include tools, welding equipment, toolbox, and other items.

21 May 2023 Deputy Ullom was on patrol in Dunham Township.  Following a traffic stop one of the occupants was found to have an active warrant out of Athens County, Ohio.  The subject was placed under arrest on that warrant.

21 May 2023 while working at the Washington County Jail, C/O Skidmore was assaulted by Wesley Duane Lincoln.   Officers were moving Lincoln to another cell, with Lincoln disobeying orders to gather his belongings.  Lincoln continued to disobey the orders given to him by correction staff.  Lincoln wanted to speak with a supervisor and was advised that if time permitted he could.  Lincoln picked up his shower shoes and threw them against the wall at one point. Lincoln began arguing and yelling profanities to C/O Skidmore and C/O Doak.  Lincoln became more agitated when they arrived at the lockdown cell.  C/O attempted to close the door at which time Lincoln rushed the door with his mattress and other jail items, forcing the door open.  An attempt to gain control of Lincoln was made and he was ordered to back away from the door, however he did not comply again.  C/O Skidmore attempted to control Lincoln by placing her hands on his upper torso.  Lincoln struck C/O Skidmore in an attempt to break her contact with him. Lincoln was charged with assault. 

23 May 2023 Codey Dallas Maze, a current Washington County Jail inmate, was found to have an active warrant out of the Magistrate Court, Wood County, West Virginia.  The warrant was for failure to appear on a domestic battery charge.  Maze was identified by his SSN and DOB and was found to be the individual wanted by WV.  A charge of fugitive from justice was filed on Maze.

There are currently 30 women and 93 men being housed in the Washington County Jail.
