On 23 Apr 2023 Deputy Norris was dispatched to Park Avenue to the Par Mar Store in reference to the theft of a cell phone charger valued at approximately $26.
On 24 Apr 2023 Deputy Eichhorn began an investigation in Marietta Township in reference to a stolen/missing credit card after fraudulent purchases had been made.
On 25 Apr 2023 Sgt. Stillson was patrolling the area of Tadpole Road and Veto Road in Dunham Township when he observed a Chevrolet Tahoe travelling at a high rate of speed west bound on Veto Road. A check of the registration revealed it should be displayed on a Dodge truck. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle driven by Zachary Michael Harris. Harris stated he pulled the registration from the truck and placed it on the Tahoe so he could do some repairs on the truck. A citation was issued to Harris, 550 Greenhill Road, Marietta, OH, for fictitious tags.
On 26 Apr 2023 Sgt. Painter, while patrolling the 19000 block of State Route 550, Warren Township at 5:50 a.m., observed a male walking along the side of the road. A check was done on the subject identified as Brandon M. Hendrickson. Hendrickson stated he was walking home. A ride was offered to Hendrickson, with the stipulation that he would have to be searched prior to entering the patrol vehicle. Hendrickson consented to the ride and search. Located in a pocket was a cellophane wrapper with a small bag inside it, containing a white powder. Hendrickson was asked what the substance was and he indicated he knew it as “meth”. Brandon Mathew Hendrickson, age 36, 318 Reynolds Lane, Vincent, OH, was placed under arrest and charged with possession of drugs.
On 27 Apr 2023 Sgt. Painter, while stationary in the 13000 block of State Route 7, Warren Township, observed a passenger car traveling at a high rate of speed traveling north on State Route 7. The vehicle was confirmed traveling at 84 mph in a posted 60 mph zone. The driver, Mathieu J Garrette, 1600 Tygart Street, #18, Parkersburg, WV, was issued a citation for speed.
There are currently 25 women and 88 men being housed in the Washington County Jail.
