On 10 Apr 2023 Deputy Tullius responded to Belpre, to the area of Washington Boulevard in reference to restraining a loose dog.  Charges are pending.

On 11 Apr 2023 Deputy Thornberry began an investigation into a financial scam involving cryptocurrency.   

On 11 Apr 2023 Deputy Gainer began an investigation into a burglary/theft in Decatur Township.

On 13 Apr 2023 Deputy Peters was conducting follow up in the area of Murray Street, Blennerhassett Township.  Deputy Peters arrived at the residence and observed a male  subject getting into a vehicle.  Contact was made with the male, Zane Mathis, and attempts to confirm his identity were being made.  While speaking with Mathis a clear baggie could be seen inside his mouth.  When asked what the item was, he stated it was heroin.  Mathis states he purchased the heroin from Dory Darden, inside the residence.  Mathis then produced a baggie of heroin from his groin area.  Dory Darden, age 38, 2552 Slate Run Road, Belleville, WV, was placed under arrest and charged with trafficking in drugs and aggravated possession of drugs (heroin). Zane Mathis, age 32, 9 Worthington Lane, Parkersburg, WV, was placed under arrest and charged with aggravated possession of drugs.  Contact was made with Amy Henderson.  Henderson was asked for identification, which she stated was in her purse.  Henderson was asked if there was anything illegal in her purse with her stating no.  Henderson was asked for consent to look in her purse which she gave.  As the search was occurring a baggie of white and orange pills was located, along with drug paraphernalia. When asked what the orange pills were she stated they were suboxone.  Henderson stated she had no prescription for the medication.  Amy Henderson, age 42, 2552 Slate Run Road, Belleville, WV, was arrested for possession of drugs (suboxone).  Contact was made with the home owner, Cassandra Jo Tidd.  Tidd was asked if a search of the residence could be done and she stated yes. Tidd stated she had some meth in her bedroom and gave consent for Deputy Peters to obtain it.  Tidd, age 35, 2133 Murray Street, Belpre, OH, was arrested and charged with possession of drugs, (meth).  All four subjects were transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.

On 13 Apr 2023 at approximately 2346 hours Sgt. Parks was on stationary patrol on State Route 7, 13200 block, Warren Township.  A vehicle bearing WV registration was travelling northbound with only one headlight illuminated.  A traffic stop was initiated and the vehicle was stopped at Veto Road.  The driver and only occupant, Ryan J Riser, immediately advised he knew his head light was out.  A citation was issued to Riser, 819 Agnes Street, Parkersburg, WV, for two lighted lights to be displayed.  

On 15 Apr 2023 Deputy Schwendeman began an investigation in Liberty Township in reference to criminal trespassing and criminal damaging of a camper.

Joshua Allen Danku, age 41, Marietta, OH, probation violation, a felony.

Dory Djuan Darden, age 38, Belleville, WV, trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs, both felonies. Zane Randal Mathis, age 32, Parkersburg, WV, possession of drugs, a felony.

Cassandra Jo Tidd, age 35, Belpre, OH, possession of drugs, a felony.

Amy Renee Henderson, age 42,  Belleville, WV, possession of drugs, a felony.

Tavahjay Allenzo Smith, age, Preston, WV, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a felony, and improper lane usage, a misdemeanor.

Kyle Andrew Hanchosky, age 33, LKA: Lorain, OH, speed, no seatbelt, possession of drugs, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, failure to comply, and OVI, all misdemeanors, possession of drugs, aggravated possession of drugs, and failure comply, all felonies.

There are currently 20 women and 81 men being housed in the Washington County Jail.
