On December 24, 2022, Sgt. Painter and Deputy Gainer responded to a report of a reckless driver on State Route 339. Upon patrolling the area, officers located two vehicles parked at Reynolds Landscaping, one of which matched the description of the reckless driver. Darlene Starcher sitting in the driver’s seat of vehicle in question with the engine running, and her daughter was in the other. While speaking with Ms. Starcher, Sgt. Painter noticed an odor of alcoholic beverage and requested Ms. Starcher take a PBT or Field Sobriety Test, which were both refused. Ms. Starcher was arrested, and issued a citation for OVI-Physical Control.
