On 16 Dec 2022 Deputy Tucker began an investigation in Lawrence Township in reference to damage done to a residence. 

On 17 Dec 2022 Lt. Parks conducted a traffic stop in the City of Marietta.  After meeting with the occupants and completing a search of the vehicle Jessica Margarette Rankin, age 45, address listed as homeless, was placed under arrest and charged with tampering with evidence, possession of schedule II controlled substance and possession of a drug abuse instrument.  Rankin was transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 18 Dec 2022 Deputy Davis I responded to Main Street, Waterford Township, in reference to an assault reported involving Tyler James Boothby. Deputies met with the victim who reported Boothby using a lighter and burning their face, as well as striking them several times, including in the face with a glass (Fenton) object.  Deputies attempted to meet with Boothby on Main Street, where he was taken into custody and charged with domestic violence and disrupting public service.  Boothby was transported to the Washington County Jail.

On or about 18 Dec 2022 inmate Delbert Daniel Cain was found to have an active warrant out of the state of West Virginia.  After checking all pertinent information, inmate Cain was confirmed as the subject wanted by West Virginia. Cain, age 46, 100 Simpson Street, Marietta, OH, was charged with being a fugitive from justice.

Felicia Dawn Wallace, age 32, Waterford, OH, theft 2 counts, criminal trespass and contempt of court, all misdemeanors.

James Matthew Duskey, age 51, Beverly, OH, domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

Robert Edward Carpenter, Sr., age 48, Marietta, OH, possession of fentanyl, a felony, failure to comply, driving under suspension, OVI and expired plates, all misdemeanors.

Mary Alice Brooks, age 42, Newport, OH, probation violation, a felony.

Graham Michael Cochran, age 39, Parkersburg, WV, obstructing justice, a misdemeanor.

Jessica Dawn Drake, age 35, Marietta, OH, possession of drugs, a felony.

Harold Nelson Joy, age 58, Marietta, OH, possession of drugs, a felony.

Nathan Raymond Canfield, age 35, Marietta, OH, domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

There are currently 15 women and 92 men being housed in the Washington County Jail.
