On 13 Dec 2022 Deputy Tullius responded to Fourth Street, Marietta, OH, to follow up on the animals at large complaint. Kayla Wentz has two huskies that were observed in another’s yard earlier in the month. The one dog had entered their home through a doggy door, into a screened in porch area that leads into their home. An attempt to close off the dog door was unsuccessful when the dog was able to knock it down. Entry into the main area of the home was accomplished by shutting a man door. The homeowner chased the dogs out of the porch, and they continued running around in the yard for approximately 40 minutes. While these dogs were in the neighboring property the owners never came looking for them. The owners did acknowledge the dogs did get out on Saturday, and they were unsure how long they were loose. The Sheriff’s Office has taken a previous complaint on these dogs.  A summons has been requested for Kayla Rachelle Wentz, age 31, 806 4^th Street, Marietta, OH, for two counts of failure to confine and/or restrain dogs.

On or about 14 Dec 2022 Lt. King, Washington County Jail, 101 Westview Avenue, found an active warrant from the State of North Dakota on one Blessing Vivien Idowu, a current inmate.  Idowu was identified by her social security number and date of birth, as well as a last known address listed on the warrant, which is similar to the address listed during intake at the Washington County Jail.  Idowu was advised of the warrant out of McIntosh County, ND for theft of property in excess of $50,000, 2 counts. A charge of being a fugitive from justice was filed on Idowu, age 36, 50 1^st Street, #1, Newark, NJ. 

On 14 Dec 2022 Deputy Kehl began an investigation in Marietta Township regarding a stolen firearm. 

On 15 Dec 2022 Deputy Gainer began an investigation into a littering complaint.

Ashley Nicole Forshey, age 34, Parkersburg, WV, possession of fentanyl, a felony.

Donald William Tewkesbury, age 62, Marietta, OH, disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor.

Steven Emory Fox, age 50, Marietta, Oh, parole violation, a felony, and violate  a protection order, a misdemeanor.

Jessica Margarette Rankin, age 45, possession of drugs and tampering with evidence, both felonies, possession of drug abuse instruments, a misdemeanor.

Corey Butler Adams, age37, Chapmanville, WV, 2 counts theft, resisting arrest and obstructing official business, all misdemeanors.

Carl Dennis Robison, age 29, Marietta, OH, trafficking in drugs, 3 counts possession of drugs, all felonies, drug paraphernalia and possession of drugs, both misdemeanors.

There are currently 18 women and 93 men being housed in the Washington County Jail.
