On 5 Dec 2022 began an investigation into a theft from Dollar General, Barlow Township. 

On 5 Dec 2022 Deputy Schwendeman began an investigation into a credit card being fraudulently opened in a company’s name. 

On 5 Dec 2022 Sgt. McConnell began an investigation into a possible domestic incident in Decatur Township.  This investigation was determined to be unfounded.

On 6 Dec 2022 Deputy Painter was dispatched to Wesley Township to a reported 911 hang up call.  Deputies arrived and found Dana Harrison had been involved in a verbal altercation and had agreed to leave for the evening.  Deputies accompanied Harrison to a room to retrieve belongings and detected an odor of raw marijuana.  When asked what was in a bag on the floor Harrison stated “weed”.  He further stated it was his.  Dana Nigel Harrison, age 51, 13184 State Route 555, Cutler, OH, will be summoned to court on a charge of possession of marijuana.  

On 6 Dec 2022 Deputy Painter began an investigation into a business in Warren Township being scammed out of funds through a fraudulent invoice. 

On 8 Dec 2022 Deputy Davis began an investigation in Belpre Township regarding a vehicle being taken without the owner’s approval. 

On 8 Dec 2022 Deputy Peters was patrolling State Route 7 near Clement Avenue in Belpre Township when Matthew Deem was observed driving a GMC Yukon knowing he was suspended.  A traffic stop was conducted and Deem was informed that he was suspended for a non-compliance suspension.  When asked about anything illegal in the vehicle Deem stated there shouldn’t be and allowed the vehicle to be searched.  A glass smoking pipe was located along with suspected methamphetamine.  Matthew Edward Deem, age 41, 1410 ½ Hocking Road, Belpre, OH, was placed under arrest and charged with possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.   A citation was issued for the suspension violation.

Rodney Dakota Hill, age 22, Cutler, OH, domestic violence, probation violation both felonies, and direct contempt, a misdemeanor.

Mareesa Heaven Lyshae Richards, age 19, Belpre, OH, burglary, a felony.

Trenton Joshua McCabe, age 20, Marietta, OH, burglary, a felony.

There are currently 12 women and 95 men being housed in the Washington County Jail.
