On 1 Dec 2022 Sgt. McConnell began an investigation in Marietta Township in reference to a fake check being presented and cashed on an account. 

On 1 Dec 2022 Deputy Peters began an investigation in Belpre Township regarding storage buildings being entered and items taken.

On 2 Dec 2022 Deputy Aultman was dispatched to Murray Street, Blennerhassett Township, to a report of Chad Wilson threatening harm to a subject.  Chad Michael Wilson, age 36, 1805 20^th Street, Parkersburg, WV, had left the area prior to law enforcement arriving.  Later that same date deputies responded to the area and contacted Wilson.  Wilson was placed under arrest, charged with domestic violence, and transported to the county jail.

Matthew Edward Deem, age 41, Belpre, OH, illegal use or possession of drugs, a felony, and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.

Christopher Paul Smith, age 35, Parkersburg, WV, probation violation, a felony.

Chase Michael Cargnel,  age 22, Stewartsville, OH, parole violation, a felony.

Gage Allen Steed, age 24, Caldwell, OH, parole violation, a felony.

Keith Tyler Whealdon, age 30, Marietta, OH, probation violation, a felony.

Michael David Offenberger, age 20, Whipple, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

Eric Shawn Owens, age 42, Vincent, OH, breach of recognizance, and domestic violence, both misdemeanors.

Lindsey Mae Tornes, age 32, Marietta, OH, possession of drugs and probation violation, both felonies.

Zachary Warren Lance, age 23, Coolville, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

There are currently 11 women and 100 men being housed in the Washington County Jail.
