On 18 Nov Sgt. Johnson was dispatched to Decatur Township in reference to an incident with a juvenile.  An investigation was started into a domestic violence incident.  After completing the investigation charges were filed on a 17 year old juvenile for domestic violence. 

On 19 Nov 2022 Deputy Huffer contacted Tyler Ridgeway at 279 Muskingum Drive, Pioneer Township.  An active warrant was on file for Ridgeway out of Wood County, WV, on a charge of assault, domestic assault & unlawful injury to or destruction of property.  The information in the warrant was verified with Tyler A. Ridgeway’s date of birth, age 24, and other descriptors, finding Ridgway to be the subject wanted by the Wood County authorities.  Ridgeway was placed under arrest and was charged with being a fugitive from justice from WV.  Ridgeway was transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 20 Nov 2022 Deputy Aultman began an investigation into a phone harassment complaint.

On 21 Nov 2022 Deputy Peters began an investigation in Wesley Township regarding a stolen catalytic converter.

On 22 Nov 2022 Deputy Harlow began an investigation into a juvenile having possession of medication.

On 22 Nov 2022 Deputy Schwendeman began an investigation into a domestic violence incident in Marietta Township.  Delinquency charges were filed on a juvenile.

On 22 Nov 2022 a 911 call was received in dispatch in which the caller hung up.  A call was placed back to the residence in which it was reported that Zachary Hill was involved in a domestic dispute at 155 Lake Lane in Dunham Township.  Deputy Gainer learned that the subjects had been drinking and arguing, which turned physical with Hill pushing the subject to the floor as well as doing damage inside the residence.  After speaking with Hill it was determined that he would be placed under arrest and charged with domestic violence.  Zachary Thomas Hill, age 25, was transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 22 Nov 2022 Sgt. Painter noticed a vehicle at the entrance of 28087 State Route 7, Marietta Township.  The vehicle had no lights on and a subject was walking around with a flashlight.  Two other subjects were located in the vehicle.  The male was identified as Jonathan D. McIntyre, age 36, 3225 Washington Street, Bellaire, OH.  While speaking with McIntyre the driver of the vehicle exited the driver compartment and a syringe cap fell out of the car.  Individuals were asked in reference to any illegal substances on them.  McIntyre consented to a search and surrendered a Ziploc baggie which he stated contained “weed”, later found to weigh 8.48 grams.  A summons is being requested for McIntyre on a charge of possession of marijuana.

There are currently 11 women and 95 men being housed in the Washington County Jail.
