On 5 Nov 2022 Deputy Davis responded to State Route 676, Watertown Township, to conduct a welfare check on a juvenile. Deputy Davis was informed that the mother was smoking marijuana in the car after she picked the child up from school. The mother, Patricia A. Largent, age 49, 13363 State Route 676, Waterford, OH, stated that she did not do that, and there was no odor inside the vehicle. Largent also did not appear to be impaired or under the influence. Deputy Davis was able to locate a plastic bag with green leafy substance, which Largent admitted was marijuana. A citation for possession of a controlled substance was filed on Largent.
On 5 Nov 2022 Deputy Aultman began an investigation in Wesley Township regarding a stolen utility trailer.
On 5 Nov 2022 Sgt. Young was dispatched to 80 Little Eight Mile Road, Lawrence Township, to a report of Paul Wright posting malicious comments on Facebook. Wright met with Sgt. Young and his behavior was erratic and his comments did not make a lot of sense. Wright denied making the Facebook post and blamed others for doing so. After completing the investigation and speaking with Wright’s probation officers, it was determined that a holder would be placed on Wright. While escorting Wright to the cruiser he ran over a hill and into a corn field. Wright continued to resist by sitting down and refusing to walk. Once at the cruiser, deputies assisted in placing Wright in the back seat, all the while Wright continued resisting by refusing to sit down, screamed, and attempted to get away from deputies. Deputies were able to get Wright in the cruiser and he began screaming and kicking the divider and door while being transported to jail. Paul Charles Wright, age 35, 80 Little Eight Mile Road, Marietta OH, was then charged with resisting arrest.
On 6 Nov 2022 Deputy Davis responded to Plum Run Road, Watertown Township, in reference to an assault done by Brandon Wayne Sagle. The victim had visible injuries to his head, right shoulder, face, and ankle. Slagle had entered the bedroom of the residence and removed the victim who was asleep by grabbing him. The two were separated and the victim escaped from the residence. Slagle had fled the home prior to law enforcement arriving. On 10 Nov 2022 Slagle messaged deputies to meet him. Deputies met with Slagle, age 28, 189 N 3rd Street, McConnelsville, OH, and he was placed under arrest and charged with assault and aggravated burglary.

Presention Lee Gohring, age, 18, Walker, WV, rape, a felony.
There are currently 12 women and 105 men being housed in the Washington County Jail.
