On 18 Oct 2022 Deputy Davis began an investigation into a financial scam/theft in Waterford Township.

On 19 Oct 2022 deputies responded to Warren Township in reference to a subject unconscious and possibly overdosing.  Lifesaving measures were taken by deputies along with the Warren Fire Department EMS.  Jeremy Donald Brown, 19360 State Route 550, Marietta, OH, was transported for medical care and will be summoned into court on a charge of drug paraphernalia.

On 19 Oct 2022 Deputy Wallace began an investigation in Newport Township regarding a stolen vehicle.  The vehicle has since been recovered.

On 21 Oct 2022 Deputy Logan began an investigation into a financial scam/theft in Warren Township.

On 21 Oct 2022 Deputy Logan began an investigation into medication being stolen from a residence in Marietta Township.

On 21 Oct 2022 Deputy Logan began an investigation into a financial scam/theft in Warren Township.

On 24 Oct 2022 Deputy Peters began an investigation in Belpre Township regarding a van with the catalytic converter removed and tools removed from inside.

On 24 Oct 2022 Deputy Schwendeman began an investigation in Adams Township regarding missing firearms. 

On 25 Oct 2022 Deputy Derkin was conducting follow up in reference to a dangerous animal.  A check was made to ensure that Zachary Michael Harris, 550 Greenhill Road, Marietta, OH, had registered his dog.  A summons is being requested for Harris through Marietta Municipal Court for failure to register a dangerous dog. 

The following subject(s) were processed into the Washington County Jail 28 Oct 2022 to 30 Oct 2022:

Dana Nigel Harrison, age 51, Cutler, OH, domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

Austin William Wright, age 32, Marietta, OH, receiving stolen property, a felony.

Kelly Scott Goins, age 43, Malta, OH, probation violation, theft and contempt of court, all misdemeanors.

John Mark Thomas, II, age 43, Marietta, OH, assault, a misdemeanor.

Rusty Allen Knowlton, age 49, New Matamoras, OH, possession of drugs and probation violation, both felonies.

There are currently 20 women and 103 men being housed in the Washington County Jail.
