On 28 Sept 2022 Deputy Aultman began an investigation into a theft/breaking and entering.
On 28 Sept 2022 Sgt. Johnson began an investigation in Marietta Township regarding storage buildings being entered.
On 30 Sept 2022 Deputy Martin began an investigation into an assault in Waterford Township. At the conclusion of the investigation it was determined that the subject would be summoned into court on a charge of assault.
On 28 Sept 2022 Deputy Wallace began an investigation in Lawrence Township in reference to the theft of a Honda TRX350 four wheeler.
On 1 Oct 2022 Deputy Davis began an investigation in Waterford Township regarding a financial scam.
On 1 Oct 2022 Deputy Davis began an investigation into a breaking and entering in Waterford Township at a storage building site.
On 1 Oct 2022 Deputy Wallace was on patrol northbound on I77, Marietta Township. A passenger vehicle was observed with a white light emitting from the right rear tail light, at which time a traffic stop was initiated. Deputy Wallace met with the driver, noting an odor of marijuana was prevalent. The driver, Richae Anderson, age 21, 320 Palm Avenue, Akron, OH, was found to be under suspension. Anderson was asked in reference to anything illegal in the vehicle, in which she advised there was marijuana in her purse. A search revealed raw, as well as burnt marijuana. The marijuana weighed approximately 40 grams (total package weight). Anderson was asked when she last smoked the marijuana, with her stating 2 hours prior. Anderson performed poorly on SFSTs and was placed under arrest for operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs, possession of marijuana, driving under suspension and taillight violation.
On 2 Oct 2022 Sgt. Painter along with other deputies, were dispatched to 535 Lang Farm Road, Warren Township, to a report of underage drinking. At the conclusion of the investigation charges for underage persons offenses involving alcohol were filed on James J Ott, age 47, and Teresa L Ott, age 43, 430 Rummer Road, Marietta, OH. Charges were also filed on homeowners Philip D Wells, age 53, and Melcie Anne Wells, age 47. All four individuals will be summoned into Marietta Municipal Court.
On 2 Oct 2022 Deputy Davis began an investigation in Dunham township in reference to a lock vehicle being entered and items including a purse stolen.
On 2 Oct 2022 Sgt. Painter was dispatched to Orchard Drive, Belpre Township, to a report of Thomas Treadway being in a physical altercation. After conducting the investigation it was determined that a charge of domestic violence would be filed on Thomas Andrew Treadway, age 32, Little Hocking, OH, and he would be placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail.

Kevin Ray Blackburn, age 36, Vincent, OH, interfering with the operation of aircraft with a laser, a felony.
Ryan O’Neil Nichols, age 46, Belpre, OH, theft, 2 counts criminal trespassing, driving under suspension, breach of recognizance, obstructing official business, taillights required, expired plates and possession of criminal tools, all misdemeanors.
Alexis Leeanne Clatterbuck, age 22, Vincent, OH, probation violation, a felony.
Anthony Trent Hill, age 33, Cutler, OH, aggravated trespass, aggravated menacing, breach of recognizance, aggravated menacing and assault, all misdemeanors.
There are currently 23 women and 87 men being housed in the Washington County Jail.
