On 12 Aug 2022 Deputy Tullius began an investigation in Aurelius Township into four vehicles being entered and diesel fuel being siphoned.
On 13 Aug 2022 Lt. Johnson began an investigation into a theft at storage buildings on State Route 339, Waterford Township.
On 13 Aug 2022 Sgt. Stillson and Lt. Johnson responded to 1672 Mayle Ridge Road, Wesley Township, to a reported domestic violence incident. Michelle Potts had visible blood on her knuckles and had been arguing, eventually striking the subject with a closed fist. Michelle Lyn Potts, age 32, was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail on a charge of domestic violence.
On 14 Aug 2022 Deputy Aultman began an investigation into a theft at a home building site in Watertown Township.
On 14 Aug 2022 Sgt. Schwendeman was travelling southbound on State Route 821 near the intersection of Highland Ridge Road in Muskingum Township, when he observed an oncoming vehicle travel across the double-yellow center line, nearly striking his cruiser. Sgt. Schwendeman had to brake and swerve to prevent a collision. Sgt. Schwendeman turned and a traffic stop was conducted. The vehicle was operated by Douglas Stanley Cline, who was found to have no valid operator’s license. A citation was issued to Cline, age 44, 1399 Scotts Ridge Road, Whipple, OH, for no operator’s license, and driving in marked lanes.
On 14 Aug 2022 Deputy Young began an investigation in Marietta Township of a theft.

Quinton Leroy Kovaleski, age 39, McConnelsville, OH, theft of a motor vehicle, a felony.
John William Dearing, age 43, sex offender – failure to verify address, a felony.
There are currently 19 women and 85 men being housed in the Washington County Jail.
