On 1 Jul 2022 Deputy Dolly completed charges for obstructing official business on Kevin Daniel Wilcox, age 32, 96 Lockhart Street, Belpre, OH.

On 5 Jul 2022 Deputy Painter conducted a welfare check in Liberty Township.

On 7 Jul 2022 Sgt. Johnson assisted the Ohio State Adult Parole Authority in Marietta Township.

On 8 Jul 200 Deputy Derkin requested a summons be issued to Janet Lynne Bruce, age 64, 800 Front Street, Apt. A, Marietta, OH, on a charge of failing to restrain her dog.  On 29 Jun 2022 Marietta Police Patrolman Huck was dispatched to 800 Front Street, Apt. A, in reference to Bruce’s dog getting loose from her and biting a lady.  On 8 Jul 2022 Deputy Derkin met with Bruce who advised she had the dog’s leash between her knees and when the lady walked by the residence the dog pulled away from her and ran after the lady, eventually biting her.

On 10 Jul 2022 and 14 Jul 2022 the WCSO Detectives assisted the Belpre City Police Department in conducting investigations.

On 20 Jul 2022 Deputy Dolly began a theft by deception investigation in Belpre Township.

On 22 Jul 2022 Lt. Gherke responded to Par Mar #148, 3876 State Route 339, Vincent, to a criminal trespassing complaint. It was reported that Clifford C Mayo III was in the store and he had previously been banned from the property due to his crude behavior.  Lt. Gherke met with a male subject and asked if he was the individual that had been at the Par Mar.  The male refused to give his name to Lt. Gherke, or say if he had been to the store.  The male subject began screaming that Lt. Gherke was at his business and demanded he leave immediately.  A review of the security video and other investigation revealed the subject was in fact Clifford C Mayo III.  Lt. Gherke was advised that Mayo was personally advised by a store manager that he was trespassed from the property due to his rude, sexual comments he would make in front of customers.  A citation for criminal trespassing will be filed on Clifford Clinton Mayo III, age 29, lka: Wooster Street, Marietta, OH.

On 23 Jul 2022 Sgt. McConnell was contacted by the Washington County Jail in reference to a warrant received from Pleasants County, WV, for larceny.  The warrant was for the arrest of current inmate William Joseph Witten, age 54, 1105 12^th Street, Lot 24, Moundsville, WV.  A check of the information given at the time of booking was compared with the information on the warrant finding Witten to be the individual in question.  A charge of fugitive from justice has been completed on William Joseph Witten.

On 9 Aug 2022 Sgt. Schwendeman began an investigation into a motor vehicle theft in Belpre Township.

Jacob Christopher Wartenbee, age 30, Zanesville, OH, contempt of court, a felony.

There are currently 20 women and 87 men being housed in the Washington County Jail.
