On 18 Jul 2022 Deputies responded to Forshey Road, Marietta Township, to a report of a disturbance involving a firearm.  Deputies were advised that as witnesses were on their porch, Jeffrey McAtee was driving westbound on Forshey Road approaching the residence.  McAtee arrived at the residence and exited his vehicle approaching the porch.  It was reported that McAtee was yelling about an ongoing disagreement between the parties.  One witness entered the home to obtain a phone when McAtee returned to his vehicle and retrieved a handgun.  After completing the investigation it was determined that Jeffery S. McAtee, age 45, 510 Forshey Road, Marietta, OH, would be placed under arrest and charged with two counts of aggravated menacing.  McAtee was transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 18 Jul 2022 Deputy Martin began an investigation in Belpre Township regarding storage buildings being entered.

On 19 Jul 2022 Deputy Davis was dispatched to State Route 676, Wesley Township, to a report of Destiny S. Young tearing up a residence.  Young had left the residence prior to deputies’ arrival.   It was reported that Young became enraged and tore up the residence, and a few moments later threw an object at the victim striking them in the hand.  Deputies later contacted Destiny Starr Young, age 21, 3915 State Route 676, Stockport, OH, and she was placed under arrest and charged with domestic violence.

William Joseph Witten, age 54, Marietta, OH, probation violation, OVI alcohol, driving while under the influence, driving under suspension, no seatbelt, all misdemeanors.

Destiny Starr Young, age 21, Stockport, OH, domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

Delano Pierre Best, age 40, domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

Terrance Lashon Lindsey, age 26, Cleveland, OH, having weapons while under disability and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, both felonies.

Justin Allen Harris, age 40, Newport, OH, domestic violence, a felony.

Paige Lshae Hopkins, age 20, Marietta, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

Dillon Shane Ankrom, age 21, Lowell, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

Milford Crawford Eagle III,  age 27, Belpre, OH, rape, a felony.

There are currently 22 women and 87 men being housed in the Washington County Jail.
