On 1 July 2022 Deputy Stillson began an investigation into identity fraud in Warren Township.

On 2 Jul 2022 Deputy Dolly began an investigation in Adams Township in reference to a domestic incident.  The investigation revealed this to be unfounded.

On 3 Jul 2022 Deputy Gainer filed charges of fugitive from justice on Charles Raymond Cody Miller, age 26, 910 Caywood Road, Marietta.  Miller was a Washington County Jail inmate and a Wood County warrant was received charging Miller with grand larceny in Wood County, WV. 

On 4 Jul 2022 Deputy Painter began an investigation into a theft that occurred in Newport Township.  Stolen were kayaks, sporting equipment and home furnishings.

On 4 Jul 2022 Lt. Hunter began an investigation in Marietta Township in reference to outbuildings being entered and items taken.

On 4 Jul 2022 Lt. Gherke and Deputy Wallace completed a traffic crash report of a one vehicle crash on State Route 260. 

On 5 Jul 2022 Deputy Davis began an investigation into identity fraud in Barlow Township, possibly occurring in Arkansas. 

On 5 Jul 2022 Deputy Derkin took a dog bite report where a dog at the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley had bitten an individual at the shelter.

On 6 Jul 2022 Deputy Dolly began an investigation into a theft of firearms and tools stolen from a locked truck at a business on State Route 7, Warren Township.

On 7 Jul 2022 Deputy Derkin requested a summons be issued to Jessica Lynn Stevens, 723 8^th Street, Marietta, OH, for failing to restrain her dog.  Stevens’ dog had left her property and attempted to attack a neighbor dog on 6 Jul 2022. 

On 7 Jul 2022 Deputy Dolly began an investigation in Belpre Township where a Jeep Patriot was stolen. 

On 7 Jul 2022 Deputy Stillson began an investigation into a theft and breaking and entering in Adams Township of 2 vehicle wheels.    

On 7 Jul 2022 Deputy Martin and Deputy Derkin were attempting an arrest on Dustin Michael Fulton, a wanted subject believed to be located in Fairfield Township.  Deputies were allowed into the home and advised that Fulton was in the home, however Fulton advised to tell officers he was not there.  Fulton was asked by Deputy Martin to come downstairs, however a few minutes went by with him remaining upstairs.  Deputy Martin observed Fulton wrapped in a blanket and he was advised to remove the blanket and that he was being arrested.  Fulton ran from deputies and exited the residence, running across the property and through numerous fields at the rear of the property.  Fulton eventually stopped running with him being placed under arrest. Medical attention was given to Fulton.  While patting down Fulton drug paraphernalia was located in his pockets.  Fulton stated the items were for use with fentanyl, however he had no fentanyl at the time.   Fulton, age 25, 4828 Cooper Road, Athens, OH, was placed under arrest and charged with resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Ethan Adam Ross, age 21, Lowell, OH, possession of drugs/marijuana, a misdemeanor.

James Howard Ware, age 42, Parkersburg, WV, aggravated possession of fentanyl and possession of drugs, both felonies.

Timothy James Moore, age 32, Lowell, OH, probation violation, OVI, driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, driving under OVI suspension and traffic signal violation, all misdemeanors.

Dustin Bradley Whipkey, age 38, Lowell, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

Mason Riley Moyer, age, 25, Parkersburg, WV, receiving stolen property, a felony.

Nevin Anthony Clark, age 34, Lowell, OH, probation violation, a felony.

There are currently 20 female inmates and 83 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
