On 28 Jun 2022 Deputy Stillson began an investigation in reference to disorderly conduct in Newport Township.

On 30 Jun 2022 Deputy Wallace observed a vehicle parked on private property in Marietta Township.  The subject in the driver’s seat was found to be Crystal Williams, and the passenger was Cameron Cowan.  Consent to search the vehicle was denied, however both occupants appeared to be under the influence of something.  Williams kept nodding off while Deputy Wallace spoke with Cowan. Williams was asked to exit the vehicle and perform tests.   Williams then admitted to smoking marijuana.  Drug paraphernalia was observed in plain view on the driver’s floorboard of the vehicle, registered to Cowan.  A bag was located in which Williams advised it was hers with several drug paraphernalia items located inside along with a baggie of suspected methamphetamines.  Crystal Lynn Williams, age 33, 207 ½ E. Montgomery Street, Marietta, OH, was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail for one count possession of drugs and one count drug paraphernalia. A summons is being requested for Cameron Cowan, age 29, 920 Lake Road, Belpre, OH, on a charge of drug paraphernalia.

On 30 Jun 2022 Deputy Davis filed charges of fugitive from justice on Jason Wayne Allman, age 40, 2372 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, OH.  A warrant was received from West Virginia charging Allman with petit larceny, grand larceny and destruction of property. 

On 30 Jun 2022 Deputy Wallace was dispatched to 11 First Avenue, Grandview Township in reference to assisting the New Matamoras Police.  Curt E Hendershot had left the residence after an argument occurred.  Further investigation revealed comments and threats made by Hendershot towards the occupants of the home.  Hendershot later returned to the home and was placed under arrest and charged with domestic violence and menacing. 

On 1 Jul 2022 Deputy Gainer began an investigation in Warren Township in reference to property being stolen from a camper, including camping equipment and misc. tools.
