On 15 Jun 2022 Deputy Tucker was dispatched to Beach Drive Lot 16, Belpre Township, to a report of a dispute. Deputies met with James Venham who was the subject of a protection order. The protection order against Venham was confirmed and an arrest was made. James Edward Venham, age 43, 2310 Norris Avenue, Belpre, OH, was transported to the Washington County Jail charged with violating a protection order.
On 17 Jun 2022 Deputy Tullius responded to Muskingum Township to a violation of a protection order complaint. It was reported that Matthew Robertson had an active TPO and had left messages on the protected person’s phone. A warrant is being requested for Matthew H. Robinson, age 22, 1421 20th Street, Parkersburg, WV, on a charge of violating a protection order.
On 17 Jun 2022 Deputy Stillson began an investigation in Muskingum Township, Millcreek Road, where a catalytic converter was removed from a bus.
On 17 Jun 2022 Deputy Young responded to State Route 821, Muskingum Township, to a report of Keith Huff breaking things and possible domestic violence. Huff was at his residence when subjects arrived, along with children, at the residence. A verbal argument began with Huff in which he then broke the driver’s side mirror of the vehicle. There is a no contact order and the subject was advised to stay away from Huff. Keith Allen Huff, 127 State Route 821, Marietta, OH, was placed under arrest and charged with probation violation through Marietta Municipal Court.
On 17 Jun 2022 Sgt. Schwendeman was dispatched to the Lakeside Motel, Waterford Township to a private property crash. Clinton McCoy stated a subject, found to be Don Evans, backed his vehicle into McCoy’s causing significant damage. McCoy’s vehicle was observed with the bumper lying on the ground, along with other damage. McCoy also reported Evans making threats of harm if he called law enforcement. Individuals at the location reportedly told Evans numerous times to get out of his vehicle before he drove in reverse and struck McCoy’s vehicle. Contact with Evans was made at his room. Evans appeared intoxicated and became argumentative, telling Sgt. Schwendeman to leave. Evans was advised of the investigation into the traffic crash, and he refused to step outside to speak with Sgt. Schwendeman, when asked. Evans eventually provided his information, however refused to come outside and look at his vehicle and provide vehicle insurance information. Evans denied knowing anything about the crash. Witnesses in the area confirmed Evans as the driver of the Jeep that had struck McCoy’s vehicle. Don Eric Evans, age 50, 4595 Sandy Lane Road, Columbus, OH, was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail on charges of obstructing official business, and operating a vehicle in willful or wanton disregard. Once at the jail Evans PBT results were .233 PBT.
On 17 Jun 2022 Deputy Gainer began an investigation into a dog biting incident in Muskingum Township.
On 18 Jun 2022 Deputies responded to 840 Echo Valley Road, Washington County, Ohio in an attempt to serve a felony warrant on Travis J. Eue. Deputies knocked at the door and windows for several minutes. Deputies observed someone lock a window and approached the front door announcing that deputies were coming inside. A female, identified as Jerica Hannan, unlocked the door. Eue was found inside the residence. Eue and Hanna advised they did not know he had a felony warrant, and said they have been checking the website every day. Eue was advised that this warrant has been active since June 14th. . Eue stated he already planned on calling his parole officer next week to find out why he had a warrant. Travis J Eue was placed under arrest on the warrant issued by the Adult Parole Authority. Jerica Rachele Hannan, age 34, 840 Echo Valley Road, Waterford, OH, was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail charged with obstructing justice.
There are currently 22 female inmates and 88 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
