WCSO NEWS RELEASES – 21 JUN 2022


On13 Jun 2022 Deputy Tucker was dispatched to 1320 Pike Street (KMA Auto), Marietta Township, in response to a stolen catalytic converter.  Video footage reveals a subject walking in the front parking lot, around the side of the building to where the catalytic converter was stolen from. The male subject picked up the converter and walked back around the building from which he came, heading east up State Route 7.  Further investigation revealed the subject to be Justin Deems. A comparison of the previous book in photos from the Washington County Jail were made with the still shots in the video, finding them to be a match. A warrant was requested for Justin Daniel Deems, age 42, 165 Starlite Drive, Lot 17, Marietta, OH, on a theft charge.   

On 14 Jun 2022 Deputy Gainer responded to the Station Carry Out, Dunham Township, to a report of an issue at the business.  Employees stated that Roy Lemasters had become irate when he was refused alcohol.  Lemasters finally left after being told he would be removed.  Lemasters left however began sending messages to employees threatening them with harm.  Lemasters was located at his residence and denied making the statements.  A strong odor of an intoxicating beverage was coming from his person.  Roy Arthur Lemasters, 1590 Vickers Road, Marietta, OH, was placed under arrest and charged with inducing panic. 

On 15 Jun 2022 Deputy Derkin was dispatched to Bohl Drive, Muskingum Township, to a report of a dog attempting to attack a subject.  The dog was believed to belong at 104 Bohl Drive.  Deputy Derkin met with Tiffany Hinton who advised the dog had not been outside all morning, however later advised the dog had been out in the yard.  A summons is being requested for Tiffany Dawn Hinton, 104 Bohl Drive, Marietta, OH, on a charge of failing to restrain her dog.

On 15 Jun 2022 Deputy Peters responded to Lowell Dollar General, Adams Township, to a report of Angie Riley stealing items.  It was reported that Riley brought two items totaling $13 to the counter and put down $6, taking the items and left.  Contact was made with Riley who stated she was not coming back to pay the rest of the money.  Angie Selene Riley, 188 Main Street, Lot 2 Lowell, OH, was located and placed under arrest and charged with theft.

Curtis Michael Lewis, age 39, Marietta, OH, domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

Keryn Ann Miller, age 39, Marietta, OH, theft, a misdemeanor.

Victor Branham Whittekind, age 34, Marietta, OH, theft without consent, receiving stolen property, complicity to forgery, all felonies, and 2 counts of theft, both misdemeanors.

Jennie Iona Tranter, age 43, Marietta, OH, fugitive from justice, a misdemeanor.

Richard Lloyd Eldon Anderson, age 42, Marietta, OH, disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor.

Courtney Nichole Clayton, age 29, Belpre, OH, disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor.

Christopher Wayne Stevens, age 31, domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

There are currently 25 female inmates and 88 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
