On 13 Apr 2022 Deputy Gainer conducted a theft investigation in Barlow Township.

On 13 Apr 2022 Deputy Painter was on patrol in Belpre Township when he observed vehicles travelling at a high rate of speed A citation for speed was issued to Konnor C. Smith, 51791 Bigley Ridge Road, Long Bottom, OH, 87 mph in a 60-mph zone, and  Jaidyn A Sephfus, 2545 Layman Road, Vincent, OH, 79 mph in a 60-mph zone.  

On 14 Apr 2022 Deputy Kehl began an investigation in Muskingum Township regarding a business that had been entered.

On 14 Apr 2022 Deputy Tornes contacted Matthew Westbrook, Fearing Township in reference a complaint that was received regarding his dog.  The complaint was in reference to a dog being on another’s property.   A summons is being requested for Matthew Westbrook, 960 D A V Road, Whipple, OH, for failing to restrain his dogs.

On 14 Apr 2022 Deputy Stillson began an investigation in Newport Township regarding a stolen catalytic converter.

On 14 Apr 2022 Deputy Stillson began an investigation into medication being stolen, Grandview Township.

On 14 Apr 2022 Sgt. Brown began an investigation at Pioneer Chevrolet reference a stolen vehicle.

On 14 Apr 2022 Deputy Young began an investigation into a breaking and entering in Marietta Township.

On 15 Apr 2022 information was received that Tara R Jenkins was on Hollywood Drive, Belpre Township.  Information was that there were active warrants for Jenkins. Deputy Huffer made contract with Jenkins and located in plain view drug paraphernalia.  Also located was a small vile which contained a clear crystalline-like substance consistent with methamphetamine, which she admitted was hers.  Tara Renee Jenkins, age 44, 243 Wingrove Drive, Little Hocking, OH, was placed under arrest on the warrants as well as being charged with aggravated possession of drugs.

The following subject(s) were processed into the Washington County Jail 18 Apr 2022:

Kenneth Edward Williams, age 54, Marietta, OH, trafficking in drugs, a felony.

Jaqua Pierre Isom, age 31, Akron, OH, having weapons while under disability, aggravated trafficking in drugs 2 counts and trafficking in cocaine, 2 counts, all felonies.

Tyler James Fox, age 33, Coolville, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

James Richard Redman, age 46, Glouster, OH, driving under suspension, failure to appear, failure to use signal light, possession of marijuana, all misdemeanors.

There are currently 19 female inmates and 72 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
