On 20 Mar 2022 Sgt. Johnson and Deputy Davis responded to Watertown Township, to a report of a domestic incident.  James Gilles advised he was assaulted by a female subject, however it left no marks.  Deputy Davis learned that Gilles was involved in a verbal argument with the female and then slapped her in the facial area.  James Edward Gilles, age 34, 125 Fiddlers Drive, Smithville, TN, was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail on a charge of domestic violence.

On 20 Mar 2022 Deputy Painter began an investigation into a shoplifting complaint at the Dollar General, Barlow Township.

On 21 Mar 2022 Deputy Tucker and Sgt. Brown responded to Dunham Township to a report of catalytic converters being removed from trucks. 

The following subject(s) were processed into the Washington County Jail 21 Mar 2022:

Tyrone Anthony Taylor, Jr., age 33, San Sebastia, Puerto Rico, probation violation, a felony.

William Raymond Harris, age 55, Marietta, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

There are currently 15 female inmates and 85 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
