On 17 Mar 2022 Deputy Tornes began an investigation in Decatur Township regarding animals at large. 

On 17 Mar 2022 Sgt. Schwendeman began an investigation in Wesley Township regarding damaged/stolen cables.

The following subject(s) were processed into the Washington County Jail 17 Mar 2022:

Trey Robert Rice, age 25, Little Hocking, OH, theft, a misdemeanor.

Velinda Bernice Berga, age 23, Marietta, OH, criminal damaging 2 counts, both misdemeanors, vandalism 2 counts and probation violation, all felonies.

Derek Eugene Boice, age 35, Marietta, OH, contempt of court.

Thomas Vernon Basim, age 42, Parkersburg, WV, traffic signals, driving while under the influence of alcohol/drugs and contempt of court, all misdemeanors.

There are currently 11 female inmates and 85 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
