On 28 Feb 2022 Sgt. McConnell began an investigation into subject(s) attempting to open accounts in another’s name. 

On 1 Mar 2022 Deputy Peters began an investigation in Newport Township regarding the theft of a motor vehicle. 

On 1 Mar 2022 Sgt. Johnson began an investigation into a failure to restrain a dog complaint in Wesley Township.

On 1 Mar 2022 Sgt. McConnell began an investigation into an assault in Dunham Township.

On 2 Mar 2022 Deputy Tornes began an investigation in Dunham Township of a dog running at large.

On 2 Mar 2022 Deputy Tornes began an investigation in Pioneer Township regarding a dog bite.

On 2 Mar 2022 Deputy Tornes began an investigation in Waterford Township regarding a dog running at large.

On 2 Mar 2022 deputies located and arrested Carly Kaptis on an arrest warrant.  A warrant from the Circuit Court of Wood County, West Virginia, was confirmed for Kaptis’ arrests on charges of fleeing with reckless indifferences.  Information on the warrant was compared with the information provided during the booking process, finding them to be a match.  Kaptis, 3307 3rd Avenue, Vienna, WV, was charged with being a fugitive from justice. 

On 2 Mar 2022 Deputy Gainer began an investigation into a dog bite in Warren Township.

On 2 Mar 2022 Deputy Young began an investigation into a storage building being entered in Belpre Township.

On 3 Mar 2022 Deputy Painter issued a citation for speed, 75 mph in a 60-mph zone to Michelle M. Schultz, 48594 SR 248, Long Bottom, OH; 83 mph in a 60-mph zone to Lucas S. Campbell, 4208 Loop Road NW, Somerset, OH; and 77 mph in a 60-mph zone to Ariyah D. Douglas, 637 Girard Avenue, Marion, OH.

On 3 Mar 2022 Deputy Tullius began an investigation into a scam referencing an email from ATV Anti-Virus software. 

On 3 Mar 2022 Deputy Stillson began an investigation into vehicle parts being stolen, to include catalytic converters. 

On 3 Mar 2022 Deputy Young began an investigation into items being stolen from Marietta Township.

On 3 Mar 2022 Deputy Peters began an investigation in Beverly regarding a GMC truck stolen from Skinner Tire. 

The following subject(s) were processed into the Washington County Jail 4 Mar 2022 to 6 Mar 2022:

Lacie Lynn Faddis, 26, homeless, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a felony.

Kathryn Dallas Hornbeck, age 21, Belpre, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

Timothy Matthew Sampson, age 30, Marietta, OH, aggravated robbery, breach of recognizance, both felonies, theft and fugitive from justice, both misdemeanors.

Dustin Lee Brooks, age 35, Belpre, OH, theft, criminal trespassing, driving under suspension, contempt of court, and theft, all misdemeanors.

There are currently 16 female inmates and 72 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
